This is really a great tune, almost more pure pop than anything the Shangri-Las did. I'm not minimizing them of course; they were great. And they came at the end of the girl group era, right as the British Invasion started. But they did really well. I suspect that they would have had a longer shelf life if they would have started out a little earlier. But then Mary would have been only 10 or 11 and the others a little bit older. Also, this album, Dangerous Games, is very good. Check it out!!! I hope her sister pays attention to these sorts of posts because many of these comments are also implied compliments to the Shangri-Las, a great group and certainly a very unique one. RIP Mary.
