The way Perry does his vocals he's hard to understand, but live like in this video, I cannot make out one word he is saying.

Also have to say, Navarro is getting even better as time goes by-- rich technical playing. Perk never slows down, seems to retain vivaciousness and relentlessness. Avery buttery sound is like it never left 1992, and hats off to him for always keeping it simple & musical. Farrell's voice has always been my favorite, and this continues even as he's gone subtle-cool instead of 1970s Daltreyesque superintensity. I think a cool addition would be a cameo young singer, the band all agree-upon, to add some bits-- similar to how Dre lines up the young peeps (Snoop, Eminem, 50, etc...) AND the older peeps to cameo on songs. This to me, would be the best thing they could add to the rest of their songs for the Imminent Redemption album, and that's exactly what it should be called, with Farrell's opening dialogue here introducting the whole album. I expect the release to be 2026, after extensive studio work, and signing up those legends and young-guns of modern rock in the 2020s. Let's hope all the family's are grownsed-up so these tigers can devote full time again, as often happens in these years to all masters of craft. wish I could get to one of these shows in the East, but I had my kids old and they are young-- last concert caught was 2011 in Long Island's Paramount (Huntington) and it was a balls-out great show. Also caught them in the teens in Asbury Park outddoor-- and that was maybe one of my favorite concerts ever. Something about a beach vibe for the ultimate SoCal band (them and the Doors).

Didn't realise they were on tour. Saw them in Leeds at the start of their career. We were at the front, but soon moved to the back as we were getting crushed! It was a very energetic gig!

as iconic as it is, this song should remain unreleased. the fact that it's not published by the band it's somewhat better, as i think of this song as a gem that every fan should discover by themselves

a dreamy and somewhat cryptic song that seems to explore the theme of seeking fulfillment in new experiences and the impact of fleeting moments ... the song starts with the singer acknowledging the affirmation of being the "best thing" to someone, yet questioning if that is truly what they need ... this ambivalent sentiment is characterized by the chorus repeating the phrase "born desert sun" multiple times, which could represent the transience and warmth of a fleeting moment ... the second verse introduces the idea of leaving behind previous struggles and "ghosts" to start anew in a car ... however, the singer questions what is truly necessary for a fresh start, and whether "living with the truth" is enough ... the song seems to acknowledge that sometimes the "new thing" or "kisses" might be enough to provide temporary satisfaction, but it is unclear whether this will truly lead to a fulfilling and lasting sense of happiness .... overall, "Kisses" seems to be an introspective exploration of the fleeting nature of happiness and the search for fulfillment in new experiences, all set to the dreamy and atmospheric soundscapes that Slowdive is known for ...
