Curious as to where and how u mount it.
@UtahJohn77711 сағат бұрын
@@jeep4dirt A 40 cu/ft Scuba tank is not much bigger than a fire extinguisher. I mount the tank to the rear roll cage bar using 2 ratchet straps. One strap goes around the valve, the other near the base. Tank has never moved or slipped on my 1997 Wrangler.

This is not a hard trail in a lifted jeep, wife and I ran it again on thanksgiving day and we have taken groups out there a few times. Didn't take the bypass but took a smart line up. We have taken it out to Bush hwy many times so this time we went out Usery for a change of scenery.... To @its-andrew-y, I run 12 Psi on 37x12.50 but I tell most on a smaller tire or if they don't know their capability to got 15-18

Ran Backway in September and the waterfall isn't the worst spot IMO. It has space and a bypass. The worst is later when you don't have a bypass available and you have to creep over another set of rocks with a ledge on your left. That fried my nerves. Made it fine with great spotters but whew.
@jeep4dirt6 күн бұрын
Thx for watching. I believe ur referring to the rocks u must climb over shortly after the waterfall with no bypass. I agree it is a tough obstacle and I smacked my skid plates going over it. Have a gr8 day and pls consider subscribing.

Liked and subbed..last May I tried going south from the north gate on Bush hwy...in a lifted two door Wrangler by myself I got about 3 or 4 miles in and the terrain really got gnarly(steep ascent), so I turned around...don't know if I'd attempt it again...not that rewarding in a scenic way to me, some of it initially was with the tall, orange cliff walls...there were people hiking it and I got passed by side by sides...everyone friendly! Do you organize group rides? Thanks...Robert
@jeep4dirt6 күн бұрын
Thank u and welcome. Your comment confirms what the ranger told us about the trail becoming more difficult toward the Bush Highway access point. One reason we start very early is to avoid trail traffic as much as possible particularly side by sides. No we do not organize group rides and almost never participate in them although we recently did for Backway to Crown King. Have a gr8 day.

I just found your channel. I did like and I did subscribe. I live in the area and like to see which trails I might like to drive. OnX gave that trail an 8. I generally don't go above 5 when I am by myself. How much ground clearance do you have on your Rubicon? I have my Wrangler JLU Sport lifted and on 33 inch tires. That gives me about 10 inches under the front diff and 12 inches at the breakover. That one section where you were practically climbing the wall would give me pause. Was it the most difficult part? I will enjoy catching up on your previous videos.
@jeep4dirt16 күн бұрын
Hi, Welcome and Thanks. Actually, OnX gives Turkey Creek a 5 which is the same rating as TrailsOffroad. The hardest part is just past the staging area where u descend to the creekbed the 1st time. We took the left option which is harder and I needed to pay more attention bc we rolled quite a bit but then corrected. OnX notes this part of the trail as a 6. unfortunately I did not look at OnX beforehand. We run 37s, with 3.5" lift and I think we have about 15" but I don't think ground clearance is a big problem on this trail. For that sort of issue pls check out our Smiley Rock video which has some difficult rock gardens. I would not do Smiley Rock on 33s but this trail should be ok with the normal caveats about good line choice and careful tire placement. The obstacle u refer to is actually not that hard if u have a good spotter. If ur not careful u can roll over a drop-off to your right but u just have to be careful to avoid that. The video shows that had I gone much further to the right it could have gotten ugly. Of course, if u go too far to the left there can be body damage. I just kept as close to the wall on my left and went slow. Hope this information helps.

Ever been on an easy trail that unexpectedly turned dangerous? That happened to us when the trail was partially blocked by an abandoned car causing a steep and scary drop-off with only inches to spare. Turning back would have been easy and probably smart. We decided get out of our comfort zone.
