Has anyone ever noticed the original oil filter has a different part number then the normal ones after… The original ends in 01 and the replacements end in 00.

Is the brake cleaner safe on the orings and plastic screen ?
@RealDirtScootCrew5 ай бұрын
Great question. We have always done it without issues and thats a big reason why we say to put oil on that stuff before putting the bike back together so the o rings don’t start to dry out and crack. 😁
@justinvictoria4105 ай бұрын
@@RealDirtScootCrew if you havent had any issues with that plastic oil screen, then I guess Im not going to worry.. I used non chloirnated brake cleaner as well.. but going forward will not use brake cleaner. thanks for getting back to me.
@RealDirtScootCrew5 ай бұрын
@justinvictoria410 of course. It’s what we are here for! U can use solvent as well if u want to feel safer. Just make positive you get it all out before u put bike back together and still use oil to live your o-rings 😁

I did that 15 years ago on a Honda 80cc. But only after the connecting rod said hello from within the motor. And yet i still finished second.....
Great work Myself after putting the drain pug I got to the top and work down especially with the spray wash. I wouldn’t like to get that cleaner spray mix in with my fresh oil.
@RealDirtScootCrew5 ай бұрын
That’s a good point Robert! Thanks for the tip! It definitely makes sense to do it that way. I’ve always done oil changes this way and haven’t had an issue yet, but I’m gonna try it the way that you suggested next time. Thanks for watching!
