You literally are going about this backwards. Wood expands from too much moisture. If you have an abundance of moisture on one side that side expands causing the wood to warp. You were adding moisture to the expanded side. You always want to add moisture to the concave side. You were adding it to the convex side, literally compounding the problem. It isn't trial and error. There is a science to it. The best way is to water the towel and put the board concave side down like you had it. Forget the iron. Do not wrap the board in the wet towel, just lay the board on it and then put a fan on the board and run A/C or heat in the room to dry the room. This will flatten your board in no time. Just leave it and check it with a straight edge periodically. Once you have it straight, SEAL IT immediately with wax or oil. Irons are great for taking the dent out of wood, but in this case, leave the iron out of it for a quicker and more permanent solution.

If namebrand stores want to avoid competitive companies I’m taking customers then they need to price their products accordingly! Nowadays, the economy across the world is pretty much shot, therefore majority of people will purchase the product they’re looking for from the cheaper of the companies and that’s just the bottom line. Now, yes, you get what you pay for but nowadays places like Amazon Temu even wish and other similar companies are multi billion dollar corporations now because they sell their products at reasonable prices and a great deal of their products are decent quality!! For example …. One person is offering six containers of Mica powder with .5 g in each one they will sell it for $60 which is absolutely insane where another company will sell the exact same product for under 30 even even though it’s still high they will get the sales’! So companies stop overcharging for your products!!!!

Bought some drills bits from Temu and 1st go it came apart as they were not once piece. My favourites are a $37 set of forstner bits that are remarkably good. There is a lot of terrible stuff and surprisingly some good stuff. Get what you pay for. Can I suggest that when you do these videos that you try the items out beforehand so you know how they work and not waste your time unpacking and trying to work out how to use them and have wood ready to use or set up. Creates a better atmosphere and people will watch longer. Just my opinion. I like you having a go and some fun and singing silly songs - that's me. Well done Jesse.😉

Hi with the dowel jig you need to use a faster drill and it doesn't matter what timber you use if it's cutting ruff you need to push slowly ,or the blade is a little blunt. With the plug bits you need a pedestal drill to be more effective. Thanks

Laser all the way 😅
@WoLpH3 ай бұрын
There's another advantage to using the laser, consistency. I'm sure you can get really good results with a branding iron after some practice, but if it's not a regular thing that you do you will probably be out of practice pretty soon. And it's probably easy to screw up your project that way :) With regards to time I think only the setup time really matters when it comes to the laser... it's like having a dishwashing machine, it will be slower than manually dishwashing, but while it's dishwashing you can do other stuff.
@JesseNardone3 ай бұрын
Best part of the laser is that I can change the size of the logo to not be overwhelming large on a small piece! The laser is my best worker and it works for free! Thank you for your input!

Sand down both ends of the wood so they fit in your drill and in the slot. The rest of the piece can be square. After your done and before you take it out of your still get apiece off sand paper and rap it around the dowel then run your gun. Hope that helps

Some epoxy creations are definitely works of art. This one, however, is hideous. It looks like a slab of plastic with raw meat embedded into it. The plastic greatly overshadows whatever beauty may have been in the piece of wood. Indeed, the wood itself is adjunct to the plastic. To be real, the guy should have been spinning a bowl of tinted epoxy that suddenly transformed into the ... whatever that is, either a a cutting board or a paddle?
