Love the instruction about tacking up these two beautiful girls. It always surprises me how fast memories come back with sounds. It’s been ages since my sleigh ride and the crunch of hooves and jingle bells brought it right back. Thanks for taking us along with you.

What a grerat video thank you so much. Thank you Amanda for your educational way with getting Fixy and Florence ready to sleigh, I was rapt from moment one. You read about putting their lines and things in but ince you see it and realize the intricate working pieces and how each piece is as important in their function - its mind boggling and fascinating. Hats off to you and your farm Amanda, your calm presence sure shows in the girls. I was a bit nervous for you all with the coyotes ongoing visits and wondered if you take a rifle as protection . Cheers and Merry Christmas from Knik, Alaska.

Thank you for your thoughtful comment. ❤️I'm so grateful for Amanda's skill with her horses and then explaining the process of safety putting their harness on and hitching them up to the sleigh. So many details and her horses love it.

brings back memories of the late 70's. I loved my time training cutting horses and wagon teams. Winter time, fresh snow, a team of horses, and a turn of the century sleigh. Heaven.

They are so much fun and you can get up close and personal with how things used to get done "back in the day." 👉Check out a video from the Sukanen Threshing Bee here kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYjPgp-VZ6uWjrM Maybe you'll have a chance to go to a Threshing Bee too!
