How wonderful that this says that a report does not need to be you as a person because you are more than words written by someone else on a page, maybe someone who does not know you and your inner thoughts. Let the report age whilst you as a person grow. I loved the thoughts that it evoked.

Thank you for listening in. I really did once find a copy of a report under a cupboard and there on the top, amid the fluff, was one spider leg. That kind of put things into perspective.

I loved this poem. It reminded me of the time my eldest granddaughter, Lily, fell into a neighbour’s pond as we were there for a barbecue. Whoops, how soggy she was but no dog blankets just a quick dash home, change and back for the food. How resilient children are although she did say “Please don’t tell Mummy and Daddy.” I loved the description of the grey dog hairs as I could just picture the scene.

Where do the ideas come from for such an unusual poem, so serious in parts and yet amusing in parts. Giraffes are so elegant and yet so gangly. A poem that brings out all sorts of emotions and visions as well, superb writing!!

How weird, as a child I always wondered why the numbers stopped at ten so my sister and I made up new rules and ways of playing Hopscotch. We would look for the strangest stone possible and then discard the rest. The impermanence of the chalk the chalk meant that we were allowed to draw a frame on the driveway as it could be washed away but we were not allowed to draw a frame outside on the pavements as the neighbours did not like it. I loved this poem and all the memories it has brought back, good ones actually.

The title fascinated me so I waited until I had the time to sit and listen, really listen. How pleased I am that I did. It was a poem that wanted me to hear it again and again and each time it evoked different images in my mind. I guess it showed that things go on no matter what, differently maybe but they do go on. I really enjoyed this poem and the time of relaxation I had whilst listening to it.

What an array of fiddlehead ferns and the prospect of garlic and rock salt tickles the taste buds and leaves a feeling of anticipation of what it might be like. Add caterpillars and lemon zest and the mood changes but the idea of changing a way of eating is still there. Really thought provoking about how we change our eating habits.

Well, I read the title and sat there ready to listen. What I heard was nothing that I had imagined that I would. I loved the poem, a poem that needs to be really listened to so as to really feel what it is saying. I loved the feelings that it portrayed in such a knowing way, they had such depth and sincerity. It is a very moving and evocative poem, one that lingers long after hearing it.

What a great poem, I loved it! So simple but so effective and brought a smile to my face on a dismal dreary wet Thursday. The village I used to live in had resident peacocks which wandered freely and could be seen waiting at the bus stop, walking to the medical centre, high up on rooftops or in a favourite tree, strutting up and down the roads and wandering around gardens. I have a very soft spot for them.

I just love this poem, it might even be my favourite!! You are so clever at creating illusions and magical scenes. This poem made me drool over the description of some of the foods and the title made me smile as it made me think of emails pinging in your box and the lack of them ‘when I am gone.’ Great poem.
