Using the extension.. from not a lowered position makes no sense. Raising the stick to a poont where the control arm isnt naturally resting on your thigh is ergonmically wrong. Look at any real fighter with a center stick. They dknt make the pilots hand sit at almost shoulder height.

The aircraft that needs updating and release is "The SU-27". I have flown this aircraft from the beginning. It needs a clickable cockpit to start. At the Heart and Soul of DCS is the SU-27.

No serious EW. Meaning offboard jammers reducing acquisition range and TRDs to seduce monopulse missiles where are FAR too sensitive to notching. No network integration of AD elements. Mean surveillance radars blink on and off. And S-300/400 batteries DISPLACE every 20-30 minutes so that JASSM/AARGM//Tactical Tomahawks cannot attack GPS locations because the battalion elements move around between overhead passes while NOT ILLUMINATING until told to by surveillance systems. Working anti-stealth (Nebo, Skysearch 300) radars. Since, if the Iranians have them, so do the Russians and Chinese. No in-mission AI scriptors controlling simple things like: ADV leapfrogging to provide road convoy overwatch coverage, using opposed lanes. Helicopters landing assault infantry behind a forced river crossing to snipe-from-behind (mortars and ATGM) a defensive position,. Allowing boats or bridge segments to be brought forwards and dropped into the water while artillery drops smoke and cluster on the far bank. No AI skywatch riders with MPAD toting guys in the back of BMP/BTR to give the CAS/BAI something to think about. See the jet/helicopter, get off the road, get into cover. Get warning of the jet, over divisional AD radio network, preemptively get off the road and int cover. No jabo logic, front and backing those roadmarch elements to trap the column inbetween. No roadmarch spacing of 100m between elements, nearing the front. No night time movements to rear area fuel and munitions dumps to forward area rearm. No parachutists dropping to seize an airfield (Kandahar, 1979; Tawain tomorrow...). No NODS yes/no, Pelengatr yes/no options to make MPAD mre dangerous at night or in bad weather. No draamatic 'shades of grey but not pitch black' night time coloratin to make hunting ground units more complicated with flares and target marking (you hunt to this FSCL, I'll hunt from the other side, deconflict by DME on the log) DCS can do so much more. Without having to sell the new like car salesmen. They can make the game INTERESTING AGAIN, without violating any security agreements (noise jam = reduced acquisition range, deceptin jam = reduced SSPK). There is so much that could be really great, with just a few lines of behavioral scriptors added to specific units. And ED will not do it. Because they would rather be poor. A-Durrrrr.

It always bugged me that FFB sticks disappeared from the market some 14 years ago.

Awesome idea with cockpit presets, I always thought about it and how it would save so much time customising my cockpit and HUD/MFD settings to my likeness, literally each time whether I start cold or hot. At least in a hot start it would make complete sense, since you could set it up automatically during the startup phase which is skipped.

How long it takes to get delivered ? I am in Florida. I order mine today, Friday, 1st of November 2024.

vram gets full after 10min in the game on my 3080 (10gb). It becomes unplayable in VR and fps drops to 30fps. it does not recover. Is there a way to clear out vram while in game???

Additionally the f15E could use a feature for easy weapon loading. No data management if you dont want to do it. Its gets really old if you on a hot server and get strafed on the runway and then need to sit there a do data entry. I set everything to be stablized and not to drift. I dont play one plane and want to play. I found that exporting the Harrier mfds you get really good detail and contrast. That export screen was a portable monitor 13" 1440P. Additionally there should be a AAR easy and/or auto. Some of us get tired waiting for those that either have a bad night or are not good at refueling. In the Harrier you really should take off then top off with AAR. Potentially we just script some of these for our favorite loadouts. I agree setting up the pages on the F15E also gets old for Nav AA and AG modes. We all often turn down that harm/sidarm scream

Regarding the Chinook, implementing LCT did wonders for the FM, you’re no longer required to constantly fine tune the cyclic to keep her level & stable. I flew 20km without needing to touch the cyclic once. LCT was desperately needed. Once ED implement ADF, VOR, the rest of the radios and the all important HUD, I’ll be a happy little camper. I really struggle reading digital displays, so adding the HUD will completely fix this issue. ED have stated a HUD is planned in the progress notes.

It will be realistic, and it will let you preset all your lightings and other stuff. Also it would be nice to store wear and tear and damage. And this should be optional for cases like pvp missions or hot start in air of course... It would be a dream...

Fixed: MFD Brightness setting independent between pages. I bought the Viper on 04.04.2022 and since that day I didn't know any different that the brightness of the two screens and respective pages had to be adjusted separately. I really thought this was normal until yesterday... Now I know that we had to wait more than two and a half years for it to be fixed.... SOON

Still having the Quest3 NVG issue of it being+10 above and not centered, like im wearing the nvg's like sunglasses on my forehead. 😐

I like the updates we’re getting but really wish ED would give us working helmet visors in the Viper and Hornet. Also, the preconfigured cockpit idea is a good one.

Which head tracker are you using? Noticed in the F-16 when you looked around, it seemed much smoother than my home made one.

I love the new engine sound for Kiowa, still not a fan of the .50 cal sound but I guess it is a little better than it was. I always find myself feeling like sounds lack the appropriate "oomph" in DCS in general.
