I was a bit underwhelmed with boardpusher I just got. The graphics on mine had these visible streaks all over, almost like the paint didn't fully bond during transfer process.

The car that is not driven hard because you have to, but because you want to; and it was designed to do so. Corvette rules. Fun stuff!

Well if the temps were in the 100's, I would call it, "having some fun in the sun". Yes, I can feel a noticeable difference in my cammed and HP tuned '04 C5 A4 between a 70 degree day and a 100 degree day. Most people know that colder air is more dense and makes more horsepower than hot air. Enjoying the content, thanks.

Yeah I can tell it both in power and in tire feel. Add the day goes on you can see all the times drop as well.

Nope! I'm anti-boost! These specs were fairly accurate for what I had at the time there: www.shredjesse.com/1999-c5-corvette/current-parts-specs-personal-bests There was a supercharger esque sound at the start, but it wasn't me because I was just idleing!

These POV vids are usually better without music playing in the background and the driver talking the whole time. I like to hear the engine, gears, tires. Good vid. My DD is an '04 C5 base auto; modded, 412hp.

Indeed, but I wonder what the power to weight ratio is for both cars. It looks like the FRS is 400lbs lighter than me car, at least in factory trim!

Great driving! I would ride out the gears longer instead of upshifting. You don't need to hit 5th gear, just bang it off the limiter. You'll hit 140-145 in 4th.

Not with my rear diff ratio of 3.7 unfortunately. Top speed of 128 in 3rd, with the OEM rev limit. A high rear diff ratio and a base model trans would probably work better for 2-3-4, but with my rear diff of 3.7 and a z06 trans I'm using 3-4-5 right now. The rear diff came with the car, and the z06 trans was all I could find locally after my base model gave up the ghost. It definitely isn't perfect, but I'm budgeted time or monetarily wise for perfect!

@@shredandenjoy7311 ah, okay, that's a bit of a double whammy. More aggressive final drive AND transmission gears. I figure I like my standard ratios and final drive and if I need to accelerate harder I can just add power in modest ways, or decrease weight, or both. I read your blog and saw the transmission swap but mist have missed the different final drive ratio. Love your channel and writeups. Check out Hnel On track, that channel is sort of doing what you're doing out on the east coast. Love the C5 track day content! I have a 2000 FRC with a seat, 200TW tires, Hawk HP+ pads and motul 600 fluid and I do like two DE's a year, nowhere near as hardcore as this haha.

Just seeing this comment, thanks man! I can't recall for certain and I need to get my OBD2 data connection going for better days analysis but if I recall... I didn't brake for 16. I'd just carry third through 15 and it was easy to manage throttle through the turn that way. Plus it saved me a 2-3 gear change. So I'd carry slower between 15-16 but net a higher top speed on the straight.

I mean.... I kind of get why they don't as it's only $50 shy (at time of filming) from a Fox 36... but for heavier folk or people who have forearm/wrist discomfort or even arm pump from small trail chatter... this is the best combo I'm aware of for it. I still need to get my 2021 Fox 36 converted to coil and then do back to back rides between the two setups.

@@PudgecastRadio you might be surprised how not big an 11 foot board can be! Presuning it's 24"x4" at least though that should go the trick! Mondo's can be tricky at times though so don't beat yourself up over it. The waves will come in the and take fizzle at times. It's got a really unique bottom contour that is great when it's firing, but often makes for very very slow mushy waves that sometimes don't break at all.
