Probably 85-90% of books I start I dump after an issue or two. Id say that nostalgia is the big reason I keep trying out new reboots of titles.

A: Crappy writing and crappy art.

I will never quit comics. As I get older I realize that you can’t take life too seriously because your time is limited so why not have fun. And yes I’m having fun in comics. But I will stop reading A comic on the drop of a hat. Because of bad art, bad writing or if I find out that the creator did something seriously wrong. When trying to find a comic to read. I look for a creator I know and trust, good art, good story or my comic shop who knows what I like recommends something to me. I’m very picky and it takes a lot to impress me. I tend to look for smart stories because as I get older my taste in books changes.

Thank you Thank you. I've been using SQL Server to manage my comic book inventory. I plan to export to csv and migrate my data over to overstreet database and then go from there. I generate my list for comic pick ups on Saturday morning before I go to the lcs. so having the ability to generate a missing book list for me is amazing.

I’ve always loved watching movie credits since I was a kid because I always dreamed of being in movies. I was in a few movies and videos that never got released. I do the same thing with reading comic books and looking at the credits. Now I actually get to see my name on books.

The question that needs to be asked is that how can you say something or someone that doesn't want to be saved? Like pretty much saying you can't fix what it ain't broken. However there is hope maybe the Indie Market can save the comic industry so maybe we should focus on them and forget about these Titans let them sing let them burn it's no longer the same anymore!

I could pull other examples and I liked this episode, but you have a strange habit of correcting people and pulling out the "acktually" card real quick. IDK just something I felt worth pointing out for future episodes.

Whoever made the comment about $5 for something their kid can have to read for the rest of their life being too expensive... I have to either question their whole value system and what they are passing on to the next generation, or my heart goes out to them for their hardship in these financially trying times. But I have to ask for those who think comics are too expensive to buy on the regular: What IS worth $5 week? A beer? Half a pack of smokes? Which you LITERALLY piss away or set on fire - If you won't pay for something for your kid to read who wants to read you are not only doing your child a disservice, but you are also doing a disservice to the whole of society and are part of the reason why your pension will be non-existent by the time you will need it. A lot of people out there spend $7 on lattes daily (lest Starbuck cease to exist, let alone thrive) that just ends up in the toilet. I would gladly sacrifice ONE latte a week to buy a kid who wants a comic a comic - every week - if I spent that on a coffee habit. In fact, whoever made that comment, please ping me - if your kid want's a comic and your financial situation doesn't allow you to buy them a comic, I will buy them a comic a week for the rest of their life if they want. I'm not rich, I don't have kids, so I don't have the same expenses as a parent (though I do live paycheck-to-paycheck below the poverty line and can't afford a lot of luxuries) but I would be happy to buy a kid a comic if they wanted one. I'm so grateful they are not out there vandalizing my local park or mugging me on the bus or torturing small animals. There are worse things for a kid to do these days read a comic book, FFS. If they want to put down their phone and pause their Pornhub/OnlyFans addiction for 5 mins to read a comic, I say let them - and praise/encourage them for doing so.
