@traveltheworld262
@traveltheworld262 6 ай бұрын
Sorry for a delay with my reply. The "Walk" is probably about 10-15 minutes from one side of the pedestrian corridor to another, but there are also other pleasant short walks nearby. The "Walk" is in Murodou (the highest point on the map shown in our video at 0:45).

Thanks a lot! We stayed in Takayama at the Workation Guest House (+81 50-3196-2152), and we enjoyed it. Another option could be staying in Hida Furukawa, 15 minutes away from Takayama. We have a short video about Hida Furukawa here - kzbin.info/www/bejne/o4DMc5WIetaLjrs There was a big earthquake in this area on the New Year's Day. Takayama is OK, but the Tateyama-Kurobe Alpine Route may be affected. Please check! We were in Colombo and Kandy a few years ago, and loved it.

If we can be helpful with any advice, please let us know. To be honest, we haven't checked our messages often in the past, but we will try to do it regularly. Have a terrific trip in Japan!

We are doing the same cruise in march. Thinking about staying in Santiago than take the bus to Sandy Antonio the morning. Do you think it is ok
@traveltheworld262
@traveltheworld262 9 ай бұрын
Sorry for a delay with reply - I have to admit that I don't check messages often. We did exactly what you are planning to do, we stayed in Santiago for four nights, then took a morning bus, or rather - planned to take a morning bus. We reserved a ticket online through BusBud to go to San Antonio with the bus company TranSantin. When we arrived at the bus station, a representative of TranSantin told us that they don't have any bus routes to San Antonio and they don't work with BusBud. So we had to run with our luggage to another bus station, to stay in line for more than an hour, and we were able to grab the very last two tickets to a Pullman Bus, and hardly made it to the cruise ship being among the last ones to board it. If someone grabbed those two tickets 30 seconds earlier, we would literally miss the boat. What would we do if we went there again? We would buy online tickets with the Pullman Bus for a morning trip, and definitely not with BusBud. Now - the currency. You can pull out the Chilean money at an ATM at the airport upon arrival, but please don't do it in Argentina, unless something changed since last January. We heard cruise ship tour operators telling passengers that the currency exchange rate was 100 Argentinian pesos per 1 US Dollar, so people could pay with dollars. So nasty! The actual BANK exchange rate at that time was 170, and an unofficial rate used by everyone, even at hotels was exactly double - 340 per 1 US Dollar, or even more. So I would bring enough US Dollars to exchange at their "black market" which is not that "black". You can do it at many official money exchanges in stores, and sometimes (discreetly) even right at your hotel. Obviously, try to avoid paying with your credit card which will use an official rate (in our case, 170). Enjoy your trip!

@traveltheworld262 hi! How many hours needed to explore from toyama to shinano omachi?
@traveltheworld262
@traveltheworld262 Жыл бұрын
The Route takes a whole day. First of all, you can do it in one day going one way, but not to return back to Toyama the same day. We actually managed to get from Toyama to Kurobe Dam (not to Shinano Omachi) and back to Toyama. Take the earliest morning train from Toyama, then as soon as the train stops at the Tateyama station, quickly run and get the earliest ticket to the cable car to Bijodaira. You should be fine to do it in one day and to enjoy it, but check the schedule at their website.
