She is turning 15 in 6 weeks. She's lost a lot of weight since February. She's had full Vet exams, bloodwork, xrays. The Vet can't find any issues other than her age & arthritis. Getting her to eat as much as before is a challenge. We monitor her closely along with our Vet, but she is ageing, sadly. Thank you for your concern for Icy. I appreciate it. ❤

We love puzzle toys for our dogs! Fun for the? & they challenge their minds too. I think there are some for cats too!

Oh my! Icy looks like she's loving every second of her puzzle toy. I LOVE it!!! Mental stimulation is so very important. I remember my vet said it was one of the keys to helping your dog live a long healthy life. Hugs and pets to Icy and Jessie.

I always have puzzle toys around. It's such a great way to keep our dogs' mind active and give them something to do when they aren't able to get out as much as we'd like.

Excellent tips, Cathy! So critical especially this coming weekend. I'm still hoping for fireworks to be banned and replaced with drone shows. But until then we need to protect our fur babies and make sure they stay safe, home, chipped, and give them a calm treat. I know I'll give Henry a calm treat, put on his heartbeat toy, put on his cooling vest (he always overheats when he's stressed), and make sure his crate is covered and near me so he can be extra secure.

Great tips and I have been speaking out for days about this, if people cannot keep their pets safe they should question themselves as shelters and rescued are bursting at the seams already which is so so sad

It definitely should be a given! I wish everyone would do it. You can get microchipping so inexpensively , there are always low cost events where a pet can get chipped for around $20, even less sometimes. Do people love their pets 20 bucks worth?!

How do you attach the leash to the seatbelt?

Hi, thanks for watching the video and commenting! You don't attach the dog leash to the seat belt, instead you attach the shorter car seat belt strap to the car's actual seat belt and the other end to the top of the harness. It shows around position 21 in the video. Hope that helps 🙂

That looks like a very beautiful and tranquil trail. Great video! It should be on the Boone, NC chamber site. ;) I LOVE the shot of Icy jumping the log and then looking at you as if to say "Did you get that one, Mom?". And I also love how Jessie lept over rocks and then turned around to look at you. I imagine she was saying, "Hurry up Mom! They're ahead of us!" I have to say Henry does the same thing as Jessie did with leaping over rocks while I bring up the rear careful not to fall. Amazing how little dogs are such great hikers.

I have seen cats hiking but not dogs. I know the dogs will have had the best time on the trail, dogs love the smells and excitement. Nice camera work.

@@cathyarmato7132 I had her identical sister for 17.5 years, since a puppy. . Passed away 10 years ago. Difficult to say more. ... except for one thing; so many times vets would write her off when she was over 12. I never gave up on her and she lived a very long dog life. Even when her back legs gave out at 14, NSAID for dogs had her running again, plus heartworm at 15 and benign spleen tumor surgery same year, but she pushed on. A gift from God.

Icy looks like she LOVES walking on the boat docks. So freaking cute! Was she looking for a fish or a special friend? She certainly knew her way around the docks. Adorable!
