Nothing I have watched since my preteens even slightly compares to the brilliance that saturates every episode. Even as a boy I envied Richard Kimble's character, his gentleness, care for others, and his soft-spokenness. I wanted to be like him and still hope to get there despite the passing of decades. Such a handsome man he was. He even stood apart from those with near equal looks such as Ricky Nelson.

A lot of elements of fulm noir in the early b&w episodes. The whole premise of the series was based on "Les Miserables", the innocent man pursued by the obsessive policeman. Not enough credit was ever given to Barry Morse as Lt Gerard, the cop looking for Kimble and the one armed man. He was a very underrated actor .

He was my favorite as a kid, and The Fugitive is probably my all-time favorite TV show. I saw it as a kid and had to get permission to stay up until 10PM EST to watch it. The final episode is a masterpiece and was watched by millions in the late '60s.

During the 60s in Yemen, the Middle East I used to watch the Fugitive, and did not that the actor David Jansen was An American and the TV series the fugitive was an American production , let alone as kid if I knew there was a country on the planet called America. In 1980, I arrived in America as a foreign student, and arrived in New Orleans, LA. Eventually, I studied, worked and lived in America, and became a US citizen, though I live Somali Land at the moment. I love America.God Bless America.

Made for T.V. movies were great to watch. David did a lot of T.V. work. Too bad he smoked a lot. But back in the day when smoking was considered cool and inner demons that were never fully reconciled .I am watching Harry O on You Tube.

As satisfying as the series finale was, I thought it left a little to be desired. Short of Kimble slugging Gerard instead of shaking his hand, I would've loved to have seen an ending where Gerard takes a bullet fired by the one-armed man meant for Kimble and saves the Fugitive's life at the cost of his own, atoning for the torture his obsession put Kimble through. Dying in Kimble's arms he should've gasped "I'm sorry" (or maybe "forgive me" to give it a biblical edge.) After all, the series' basic concept was inspired by "Les Miserables" where Javert commits suicide when he realizes Jean Valjean is a good man.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that no one could have played The Fugitive better than the late ,great David Janssen ! He looked and talked like a Doctor and his portrayal as Dr Richard Kimble was exquisite in every department ... a great , great actor .

I agree. Among other actors considered was Jack Lord (who guest-starred). Lord was perfect for HAWAII FIVE-O, but I cannot imagine him as Kimble. Janssen just hit every note dead-on...something about his twitchy eye, the haunted wariness, and the unmistakable aura of a man in pain kept entire families spellbound for FOUR YEARS!

Great show but was based on a very stupid premise. As revealed in The Judgement Part Two, Fred Johnson was not wearing a glove on his left hand and was seen holding the murder weapon in his hand. His fingerprints would have been all over the house, all over Helen Kimball and all over the murder weapon. How in the world did Kimball get convicted?😮 Also that wig was really ridiculous and unnecessary. 😊

Great work and a lot of it - but his early years need some fleshing out. He's in Nebraska, then he's playing basketball for an unidentified team then he's in the Korean war then we find he was in a bunch of movies as a teen.... A little more detail and a little better chronology would be good. Oh, and Patrick MacNee died at the age of 93 in 2015.
