You can name each shape at the beginning of the presentation and what you are going to do, then while doing the presentation the focus is on movements, so the child focuses on your hands.

Thank you, with British Cursive yes you do connect the swirl but not with classic cursive. This classic cursive is used in many other countries.

Inset should be traced clock wise; frame should be traced counter clockwise. :)
@mentorssori1004 жыл бұрын
If this is referring to preparation for writing, it all depends on each language being learnt for example Arabic writing is from right to left. We also need to remain flexible, and focus primarily on the movements designing a shape.
@lolitapalaminejohnsson85704 жыл бұрын
Please enlighten me with an explanation why clockwise and counter clockwise. Many Thanks!
@mentorssori1004 жыл бұрын
@@lolitapalaminejohnsson8570 The learning interests for this material for the child are: -Tracing the inset Putting the insets back into the templates Practice with 3 finger grip The textures and qualities of the shape Placing the insets back into the template corner first and gently Opening the lid of the tray Removing the drawer from the cabinet and seeing what is inside the drawer Tracing the shape with our finger as part of our presentation encourages the discovery of the points mentioned above.

@marisolm33525 жыл бұрын
just one coment, you should take the inset with the non-dominant hand that usually is the left hand and trace the insert with the right hand :)
@mentorssori1004 жыл бұрын
This is dependent on where the child sits. In this case 'the child' (camera) was sitting on my left. This allows the child to have full view of the presentation.

One should.use a neutral color background.

Perhaps. It all depends on what is available in shops at reasonable prices.

Wrong hands movement after each rod
@mentorssori1004 жыл бұрын
Everyone is unique and has their unique style of presentation. The most important aspect is to remember the direct aim and indirect aim of this material. Children will also find their own unique way to build the red rods. Here my goal was to emphasize, through my movements, the various length of each rod as well as the fact that they are all aligned.

@mentorssori1006 жыл бұрын
Julie Htz it depends on the language taught. Arabic is from right to left English from left to right therefore both are correct. From a sensorial learning perspective both are good exercises.

This is a table activity. And is not suppose to be done on the mat.
@mentorssori1006 жыл бұрын
Stella Bloom we were shown this way in my training. Perhaps training centres have different ways, also cultures from around the world have various approaches to doing things so perhaps in your culture doing it on a table is more appropriate especially if you have large tables. What matters most is the child. Is the child connecting with the material? And so on...
@imkrisnic186 жыл бұрын
In my training and in my classroom, it is done on a rug. The activity is too large to be done on the tables in our class.
@chanram26396 жыл бұрын

This is a rug activity. We have been taught in my training that handwriting is done at table in the seated position.
