Reflex for the win, even though most have FTF issues and some broken guide rods. HK should have brought the SFP9CC to us rather than this Taurus clone. This is the first US designed and made HK model and it shows. It’s a flop lot of the gate and doesn’t give the user anything that hasnt already been on the market for the last 7 years.

Affordable? I guess that depends on your bank account. I like Rugers. I love stainless! I have a SP-101. It is in 38 Special. At the time I bought it they had not chambered them in 357 yet. That dates me. I have heen very happy with it. I know someone with a GP-100 and shot theirs. A fine revolver. If I had money to burn I'd buy one.

I agree with you. I picked the Shadow 2 over the Rival S. I don’t like the way the frame was finished. I have 3 of their TP9 series SFX, SF and SF Elite and enjoy their polymer versions. Also, thanks for your honesty. Many people forget that these large KZbinrs get free or heavily discounted items to market the firearm or other materials. Many get some type of monetary kickback. Personally, I wish KZbin wasn’t such a marketing scheme.

To be honest I picked up a SAR9mm just because it was such a deal and it turned out to be an absolutely amazing gun. I literally shoot it more than my s&ws and FNs because of how it feels in my hand is just awesome. It’s a 200 dollar gun that’s just as reliable and accurate as my 1500 dollar FNX is. I’m about to buy another one just to have a spare. They are 219 bucks on the PSA site right now.

That ugly MIM mold mark on that 2022 High Power hammer... I got the SA-35 because of no mim. Even if it's really made in Turkey as we all know Springfield just assembles them in the USA.

If they would modernize the fn, as in a direct mount optic cut, light mount, maybe switch to Glock mags for price and accessibility and give me a 4" barrel and cut the weight to 28-32 oz. Then I'd get the fn. The original is 1930's tech with a bad trigger and hammer bite. The fn is 1959's tech that's smooth. I want 2025. I was born in the 50's. A great time to be born but some pretty crappy firearms. The death of John Moses Browning killed firearm innovation until Stoner and they kind of milked that for 40 years. I'll take modern and well made any day.

From that day forward however, I seldom carried concealed. The gun on my side for all to see is like a sign on my fence that says, “Beware of this old Dog, he bites”. People look at me a little weird, but they leave me alone. Recently, a high-ranking officer from the local Police Department, registered his disapproval of my open carry policy and claimed a bad person would see me as an opportunity for a free gun. I will not be drawn into that argument. I don't care about your opinion.The only question the police should ask is, is it legal? In Rhode Island open carry is legal with the proper permit but, in all my years I have never met another person exercising that right. About the statement that I could be viewed as an opportunity for a free gun, such a decision could be hazardous for one's health. I can assure you it would not end well. There is no database available with statistics of things that never happened. The deterrent theory cannot be proved or disproved. - I open carry.

I use Royal Purple 11487 High Performance Engine Break-in Oil for new guns during my range time , for storage just a touch of red and tacky grease . easy , cheap and convenient ... Gun oil basically a motor oil bottled in 2 Oz applicator bottle ;)

Supposedly 3 in 1 lube works fine and it doesn't really matter what you use, that being said I still only use ballistol.
