Were you guys in Price or Lincoln counties? I remember seeing some LA plates in the latter I think. Saw way more out of state plates this year than last, and it was a good year for it. This would have been the week of the RGS banquet in Fifield if I remember right, it was a crappy rainy week, and it was right when I was going through one hell of a slump, missing damn near every shot I took. I hunted almost every day of October and two weeks into November before I took a break but for a while I didn’t think I’d shoot another bird lol. The birds never hold well unfortunately, but a good dog kinda learns to work them slowly until they pin down. This was my setters third season, and this year she really nailed it down, figuring out how to work those running birds so they don’t flush early and it was the first time I managed to bag more than thirty birds in a season, which ultimately only cost me money as I had a bet with a friend that whoever shot the most would have to donate an extra hundred to RGS.

Yes we were in that area, poor conditions. Good info about the dogs thanks. Not a bad bet to lose though haha.
