This is excellent, thank you. But it struck me part way through - it's a bit like Gollum/Smeagol talking to himself!

Yes, that snippet from Lord of the Rings is a brilliant example of the critic mode in action!

Thank you for this wonderful demonstration. As an aspiring Schema Therapist I very much value your content and appreciate your effort. What really is "a shame" is that your channel is yet not discovered by many people out there. So keep going!

Thank you for the video. One problem I have is that I often don´t know what I would have needed in the respective situations. The outcome of the situation is kind of "set" due to the fact that they happened in a certain way. Do you have any tips how to find alternative outcomes? Would be much appreciated.

Hello Tobias, I think this is where the help of a therapist is often needed. It's really understandable that you are finding it hard to rescript your memories by yourself. It is hard to imagine how things could have been different when you have experienced the same pattern over and over. You could try imagining an ideal parent coming to support you and how they would respond. Maybe a positive figure from your life or someone you find nurturing from a film.

How would you implement/use grief regarding unmet basis needs?
@schematherapyworks Жыл бұрын
Exploring unmet needs and rescripting images often brings about the natural process of grieving. These is an important stage to work through to bring people towards acceptance and reduce their critic mode.

Thank you so much for this! As a schematherapist and also a physiotherapist I love to include the body in to schema therapy.

Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge Remco and thank you Jo for making that happen :) I am extremely grateful for having being able to learn from you first in the online course in your Dutch Institute for Schema Therapy, and later following your webinars and watching videos that you produced. My way of conducting schema therapy, has been evolving and I feel much more confident than before. I can also notice how much powerful are the techniques for the clients!
