🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤ Can't wait to watch this presentation - wonderful guest speaker, favorite teacher 👍 I love this teacher so much, couldn't stand to wait till my chores were done - they'll be there later - just had to start watching. Glad I did. I paused at around 38 minutes and pulled up Adam Sandler's Chanukah Song which I haven't listened to since 2022 and had a tremendous laugh 😂 Thank you Paul for bringing on Mottel at such a time as this God bless you all 🙏🐑🦁❤️ PS - 47 minutes - this is the second time today I've heard the Chanukah Blessing sung on KZbin. This first was on Arutz Sheva Israel News showing the historical first time a Chanukkiah lit in the Knesset - everyone was singing. Very wonderful to see.

Hello, I struggle when reading the Bible and hearing some of the miraculous stories, like Paul looking at a sorcerer and causing him to go blind, etc. I mean when I compare how God works today and how he worked in Biblical times, I see a huge disconnect. Is there any books or videos that can help me understand the Bible as true and why God doesn't seem to work the same way today as He did in Biblical days?

who was the historical jesus? jesus was jew i believe he didn’t start christianity, in a nut shell jesus was a poor pheasant with pheasant followers,he was a rabble rouser a subversive person. the gospels are not divine so there is not much truth in them, no such of a thing as a second coming when god sends his prophets or/and the messiah the missions are fulfilled immediately. just look at the story with Elijah at mount carmel with the false baal prophets , when they saw gods miracle the fire came from heaven and consumed everything not one false prophet converted then Elijah killed them all. there is nothing truthful in christianity way to many discrepancies a person without a religion is a nobody.

I am thrilled to have recently discovered Paul Miles. There seems to be a real deficit of teachers teaching postponement theology. I was first introduced to it by Dr. Andy Woods, and over the years have studied it in greater depth. It now stands out to me as THE missing theological component in modern dispensational teaching, and to the harm of the church who, lacking a proper understanding of the postponed status of the kingdom, is confused about who she truly is. I am excited to look into Paul Miles’ work further. Thank you for posting this.

Thank you dear Dr Mondragon. Great presentation. This is a helpful understanding to your Science and Scripture presentation that I am following at the moment. I am in session six of ten at the moment. Just quickly wanted to understand uniformitarianism before I proceed with your study at Dean Bible Study. May God keep you. Keep up your faithful teaching. We use it on our group to support an audience of 50 individuals including parents to understand the culture of the day, and especially what is happening in the schools.

Unfortunately, people don’t realize that geocentrism hasn’t been proven wrong and that there is even more evidence for it. Plus it is Biblical that the earth is firm and doesn’t move. So this too is also confirmed by the Word of God. Yes, indeed, there is so much science that has been interpreted wrongly due to bias. Anyway, to believe in evolution or creation takes faith since neither can be proven by science. I prefer to trust in Godard his testimony over flawed human beings

"Lighted Mass"? Who came up with this expression? There are plenty of sources on the internet explaining Dark Matter. The MOND hypothesis is well explained in Wikipedia. I can't see how this hypothesis is helping you to explain a 6,000 year old universe. I think your reasoning is more like: 1. Scientists don't know everything 2. Scientists can get things wrong and change their theories Therefore, scientists will eventually find out that the universe is really 6,000 years old. Perhaps, one day, we'll find out that the earth is flat.

@@hansweichselbaum2534 Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created...implies that God is the eternally self existing deity, OUTSIDE of time, whether you regard the earth 60, 600, 6000, 60 Billion years old, has no relevance dear Hans. No one can put God into a box regarding time, matter or space, of which He is self existent outside of that space. And He is the self existing cause thereof. Thus your, my and the next person's finite view is irrelevant and mere opinion. However, God's Word is eternal, as He is. Question is, do you take Him at His Word, and if so, how do you interpret His Word? That is the premise of this video. Wonderful food for thought and learning within the body of Christ for each of us to do our due diligence, 2 Tim 2:15, study the whole counsel of God and rightly divide His Word.

The very premise of the idea ludicrous. You plan to prove religon scientifically. Isnt that antithetical to both ideologies. Fath being the primary principal of all religion. Empirical thinking is the primary principal of science. The speeker likes to conflate bias with lack of proof. That's utterly incorrect and disingenuous. The Bible is definitely not inerrant wich is the basis of creationism. Ask anyone who attends seminary school. In a way ceationism is an affront to the fathful. Insisting that more fath is needed to love and worship god. This whole movement is a grift. It ueses ambiguities as proofs as though they are facts. I beleave that these grifters often feed on good peoples nineveh cosmological views. This guy would have you rewrite earth science to support its theories. Simply pernicious nonsence.

I confess that I missed the first part of your talk. I came straight from a lecture given by Paul Garner. I've been following the evolution of creationism now for half a century. You always learn something new. The latest explanation of the formation of the geological column is ingenious. I would love to listen to a discussion of 'floating forests' amongst professional PhD creationists. But seriously, are you really trying to convince young people to become Young Earth creationists with this kind of arguments? Let me assure you that you are driving many more people into the atheist camp with this nonsense.
@ZacharyKlein9 ай бұрын
I’m not sure what “arguments” you’re referring to, since in this presentation I’m not focused on apologetics but rather laying out a framework for a positive account of scientific data. This presentation is aimed at those who hold or who are open towards a YEC position, but would like to understand their options in explaining scientific data within that paradigm. I could give a similar presentation from within an Old Earth paradigm, and of course the options would be very different. But I don’t think the evidence I discussed here is necessarily determinative for choosing between a YE or OE paradigm - ultimately that is a philosophical and theological question, not a scientific one. The Floating Forest theory is indeed an interesting one! However, it’s not as fanciful as it may sound. We have floating forest ecosystems in the modern world, in fact there’s a locally famous one in central Wisconsin, which to this day has to periodically be pushed out into the lake to avoid colliding with a highway bridge. The Carboniferous fossil plants appear to have many features conducive to growing upon a water surface, and the fact that they are buried in marine (ocean) sediments is further evidence that they are part of a “super”-marine ecosystem. The FF theory actually explains more of the data than the conventional “swamp” explanation does, which is a good thing in a scientific model!
@hansweichselbaum25349 ай бұрын
@@ZacharyKlein You say "I could give a similar presentation from within an Old Earth paradigm" ?? Are you giving a lecture on philosophical ideas, or on history of creationism? That would be ok, but then, please, leave the word "science" out. Your audience certainly interprets your talk as the scientific interpretation of data. The earth is either thousands of years old, or it is billions of years old. It can't be both, so at least one 'interpretation' must be wrong. Do we agree on that? Are you not interested in what is actually really TRUE? The fact that the earth is at least millions of years old, that fact has been established two and a half centuries ago. Do you really want to lie to your audience by telling them something which is blatantly untrue? I encourage you to visit BioLogos (and there are plenty of other organisations like that) and see for yourself how many people lose their Christian faith because they are told that they cannot "believe in millions of years" and be Christians.
