I think one of the best deals at Dollar Tree is the Wound Care Kit. It's hit or miss at my DT, but I pick up at least one on nearly every trip. Some other new (to me) items that I have bought there lately were one of those "grabbers" used for reaching things that you can't reach and "portable" umbrellas. The grabber worked on picking a can of chili up off the floor, but not as well picking it off a top shelf in my pantry (I could reach to knock it off, so it wouldn't work as well with glass jars 😂). It worked fine for lighter weight items. The umbrella opens up full size. I got one to keep in the car in case of an unecpected downpour because, hello ... Mississippi weather LOL I think I may get a couple more in case I have someone in the car without one.

Bullion cubes are full of chemicals. Don't be fooled. Better than bullion paste is the best commercial bullion but... it is loaded with salt. You can make your own bullion out of bone broth or something similar in a dehydrator but you will want to make sure all the fat has been removed before dehydrating/freeze drying. Just refrigerate the broth overnight and scrape the fat off. Keep that fat in a jar and refrigerate, use it for cooking or coating a pan. Fat keeps good in the frige. for about 3-6 months although I have kept it for muuuuuch longer.

I'm thankful I planted WAY too many tomato plants this year, LOL! My area has a short growing season. Usually all I grow is tomatoes. Half of one of my upright freezers is now full of tomatoes ready to go into stews, made into spaghetti sauce, etc. And tomorrow, I'll be buying a couple of 10 pound bags of Mahatma rice. We are only a family of 3 adults, but tomatoes and rice are major staples in our home.

I’m buying basic tomato 🍅 sauce and adding hamburger, garlic, 🧄, onion 🧅, and shredded carrots 🥕. It’s really good. The only problem is I need the refrigerator for the excess. I can cook enough of sauce, or soups for about 4 days. But if the electricity goes out I will have to just eat a can of soup or vegetables a day. I’m getting a little camper stove so at least I can heat up food. I’ve been stocking up, I’m worried.
