God is real. Man-made religion is false and flawed. Man-made religion can have a positive impact but it also has many cons. It makes people narrow-minded. Men wrote the bible. Whole sections were added as a kind of marketing gimmick to increase the wealth and power of thoroughly corrupt and evil people. Answer this honestly. How many wicked, evil and vile people made huge contributions to the bible? Countless. More bad people wrote the bible than good people.

Sadly, here in England, the belief that the pandemic would bring communities closer together failed. Yes, some communities have grown, but for the majority in the land divisions have increased. It became every man for himself, and a "them and us" divide between socioeconomic groups. Churches as a whole have also failed miserably. Yes, there are many who have taken helped, but on the whole communities and society as a whole has suffered greatly.

I’m not so keen about Jesus. Different religion aimed at different people. Aboriginal Culture and Spiritual beliefs are much stronger and give you your identity. Anyway, stay healthy and strong.

I went to an Anglican Church service and felt like I was at an entertainment venue. I went back to Mass because I felt a connection to God there even though I’m not Catholic.

What does this mean for Anglicanism? Will the politicisation of the faith continue? Will the persecution theology finally dissipate from its place of prominence? Will the Church return to the heart of Christ and be the salve that hurting people need so badly, especially those who have been hurt by this church?

So happy to see yet another sharing the limelight with Mother Lanka. Sending prayers and blessings from the Anglican Church of Ceylon, from everyone here back at our (temporary) home. Hope you guide the Church in the Evangelical Path as God leads and loves you and your family.

Please continue to keeping paedophiles out of our churches, zero tolerance, and keeping all children safe, as a duty of care. If our Anglican Diocese cannot do this, then they are failing all of us. Church of England- Anglican church homes for both boys and girls will always remain a stigma, mud sticks, and is hard to wash away. Jesus must be weeping at how innocent children have been betrayed by our Anglican Church and others. Archbishop Raffel, there are so many good people in our faith, but sadly a few bad apples destroy all of us.

Uh do you honestly think Bauckman is not familiar with or even accepts Mark and Q. And Luke used L too...But all that demonstrates is Luke clearly believed Mark and Q were eyewitness reports and why not? Most scholars date Q even earlier than Mark so it can certainly represent traditions told by witnesses

Really hard to imagine that all these secular writers/historians are ALL wrong in reporting accounts of Jesus's life . tacitus, pliny the younger, josephas, lucian, celsus, suetonius, julius africanus, thallu , pholegon, mara bar-serapion , justin martr, the Babylonian Talmud. Then there are the written accounts of the eyewitness for Jesus . mark , matthew , luke , john , james & paul. There are more people that wrote about Jesus than any other ancient figure .

Already been done. You can buy books about it on Amazon. I'm certainly not going to go into it here. It's larger because of Q, for example, and because Luke sticks the nativity tale on to make up for the fact that Mark's Jesus appears out of nowhere and has no pre-history (not a good idea when their Pharisee competitors were claiming a tradition going back 4000 years to Adam). Matthew does the same thing for the same reason (though using a genealogy). He likewise uses Q.

The Luke gospel is 8 chapter larger than Marks.......Liar...How did he copy it then, PROVE he copied them.

If you are talking about the Josepheus paragraph an Orthadorx Jew would never write "he was the Christ" about jesus plus in another paragraph he writes James was the brother of the SO CALLED CHRIST. If you are talking about the Bible, I like the basic teaching of love and forgivness it teaches but the way most Christians act turns me off. Plus of course the lack of evidence.
