I work for a large companies with an IT department of 1400. What I have experienced as a woman in this department, the men from India look down on women. I have actually had these men not talk to me when in meetings or working on projects. I mean, blatantly ignoring me when I address them with project related questions. Now, I don’t mind us getting personnel because we need good folks. But, they are very slow to adjust to women working in these positions also. Some have been fired for their lack of communication, one for outright yelling at a female manager. They need to learn the culture here if they come.
