the ultimate comfort is apehangers with forward controls and a little backrest. you will be able to drive all day no problem. apehangers arent for holding on to. it is a comfort thing. it helps straighten our backs. that is also why we mostly have low seats in a triangle. our behinds hold the bike. but by having atraighter arms we can keep the bike more steady without putting much thought into it.

I won't fight with planet of the "Apes" riders. I personally don't think it's safe, healthy, nor appealing. I didn't like my beach bars anymore than these either. So I put on a compromise, mini apes. The factory raked front wouldn't let me put on anything that would be comfortable and clear the tanks. And wouldn't slouch me forward, or stretch me. But I 🤐 we're riding and all happy.

After running ape hanger on my bike as well. I know why his left arm is in that position. Because his arm is actually blocking the rear mirror. It happened to me so I have to move the mirror to the top position even though it looks kinda weird.

Yeah, you obviously hadn’t rode one or even researched what you’re talking about. A pain is at the right height can make your arms relaxed instead of like a crotch rocket supporting your upper bodyweight with your arms, aren’t having to do anything they’re relaxed so you’re completely wrong with that. And it also positions are back better so that you can ride for longer without fatigue. I’ve heard of people putting on hangers specifically so that they can ride and not be in pain

The delicious irony of someone on a sport bike chirping about long rides… as for the apes, a lot of guys including myself find them more comfortable than stock. I wouldn’t ride with bars as high as this guys, I’m guessing 18s here, but 12” is perfect.
