All worth the long travel. We do hope that it won't end up like Boracay. Balabac is better without those fancy hotels and restaurants. They should not allow big construction to ruin the place. This place is only meant for the serious travelers who can appreciate nature as it is and doesn't mind staying in a simple accommadation.

Mas malawak ung campsites ng chandava though not all for car camping, pero may mga porter naman mag aassist sainyo. Kami mas prefer chandava. Mas maganda dun mag kayak compared sa kaliraya. Mas madami staff mag assist syo, pwede ka pabili sa kanila kung may nakalimutan ka dalhin.

Pwde po kyo mag book ng latest flight papunta Puerto Princesa, like sa Cebupac mga dating nyo around 12am tapos mag antay nlng kyo sa airport usually 3am ung alis ng shuttle kung mag joiner tour kyo. Para tipid na sa accommodation cost for 1night. Also ask nyo po yung tour organizer kung saan mag stay overnight, ang iba kasi sa main land ng Balabac town natutulog like yung samin. Mas prefer ko sana na mag overnight sa island especially sa Onok.

Can’t speak from experience since the tour we booked only do seasonal tours. Probably best to go with someone who does this more regularly. Also ask where you’ll spend the night. Some tours offer overnight stay in one of the islands, which we prefer. Sadly for us, we stayed in the Balabac main land. It’s ok if you prefer convenience, electricity and airconditioning… but for us, we really wanted a more raw experience since we do camping from time to time. Searching on FB and tiktok, we’ll probably try Kamp Malaya when we go back next year. Hope this helps.
