Yeah yeah very clever and accomplished, phenomenal talent but sounds bloody awful to me. I mean come on, doesn’t come close to a simple zztop or AC/DC riff if you’re talking real music that stirs your balls

Zappa didnt seem to have fun, he didn't he didn't give that impression. Never smiling, looking at or nodding towards Steve. Always so serious.

Frank Zappa had a great beginning of his great area but later it was mot so fantastic anymore. But Frank was n intelligent man who made a lot pf ver intresting music. Saw his gigs in the 70’s five times an they were all VERY great ! At the 70’s I loved his,conserts! - jon fisher

Steve is/was a great guitarist when he played with Zappa. What hardly anyone knows is that Adrian Below was/is just as good, but was poached very early on by David Bowie, which really upset Frank. Then there would have been no Steve at Zappa. The best example of Adrian's genius are the YT concerts with King Crimson. Love from Germany.
@finnmcginn993126 күн бұрын
. I was just watching King Crimson Live in Frejus 82, Talking Heads Live in Rome is a beauty, City of Tiny Lights with Zappa. I've been bingewatching Belew, he's incredible.

You van see Steve looking over Frank's shoulder the last 2 minutes to see what he was playing so he could respond. This is all improv within a set construct. This is what music is all about, not some plastic prefab live performance of an album.
