I like his mindset. Hopefully he gets some big fights.

Joe Rogan did some good talks about how to deal with knee injuries. I think it was the Firas Zahabi episode.

Shouts too Ragnar Vallon. Been following music for some time, weve dabbled in some work together and I just want to say your personal growth is absolutely nothing short of commendable. SALUTE

The romanticized "starving artist" version of the fighter is unfortunate and not something that should be glorified "for the purity". To be fair, a lot of people want to turn pro, the money, tv deal, etc because fighting doesn't pay much and fighters have a shelf life. If you're married or have children, you can't purity spiral your career into trying to be a penniless, celibate, lonesome monk. I think Ross is in love with the thought of the wondering, traveling, practitioner of an art (which is fine). He's probably also two seconds from calling MMA fighters "sell outs". It goes with the punk-rock purity spiraling culture. This lifestyle choice is similar to a hippie hitchhiking around the US or a college grad backpacking across Europe with his acoustic guitar. That's fine for a time, but not everybody wants to be alone and without a home to return to. None of that takes away from his fighting, though. Only commenting on that mindset of the "purity" of the sport.
