Hello, I live in Korea. My dream car is NSX. But I have a question. I am curious about the price of NSX vehicles in Japan. :))
@83nnsax1372 күн бұрын
Nice to meet you. I'm sorry, but the price varies greatly depending on the grade and mileage, so all I can say is to look at Japanese used car websites.
Hope you had a great time. I'm going on 10/6 & 7 Owners Meeting.
@83nnsax1377 күн бұрын
Yes, I did. It was a lot of fun to hear behind-the-scenes stories that I had never heard before and to see all kinds of NSXs. I will not be able to attend the NSX meeting in October, but I hope you will enjoy it.
Thank you for making a video of this event. It’s great to see these events are being held to celebrate these special cars! I hope to one day own an Insight alongside my S2000! 😄

Thank you very much. It is very rare to have an event where users gather with craftsmen, so it is very valuable. In the past, we used to have a “manufacturing experience” at this event, such as making a miniature car by cutting aluminum, and it was just like gathering with craftsmen. The Insight is very nice, and there are many owners who own an S2000 and an Insight together.
Great report so waiting on the main course laps. Did you know that the gas cap has a holder in the gasoline fender lid?
@83nnsax1376 ай бұрын
Thank you very much. I know there are holders, but I always leave them on the cap receptacle because I don't want to drop them if the nozzle hits them or something.
Well, haha, I realized your Red coming from behind, so I ran away as fast as I could. I knew, your Red one on home straight acceleration was very very fast, so I focused on accelerating on every corner and ran away desperately.

あーバックストレートでアクセル抜かれてる、、、、、
@83nnsax1376 ай бұрын
As they ran away, I chased them frantically (laugh). (Laughs) Running alone is good, but it's fun to chase after them, isn't it? And the reason I let off the gas on the back straight was because I couldn't pull out at that timing and I didn't want to close the distance in the middle of the straight.

Another great video with still high oil temps. That black NSX is also very fast and I can see the acceleration difference out of corners to the other cars. I see you are staying to last moment to the right before the final corner on Spoon. That makes the time to get back to full throttle on the back straight so much faster. If you can see the label/number on the top of the Setrab oil cooler I can give you the cal.h capacity and then decide if the core is big enough. However air flow needs to be checked also.
@83nnsax1376 ай бұрын
Based on these results, we have decided to replace the oil cooler before the next run, and we will discuss the capacity, layout, etc. with the store to decide. The owner of the black NSX is fast and skillful. It really is fast out of the corners. He is also very good at controlling the car, and I would like to learn from him.

Mr Wayne, it's been a while. Let's tackle together again at Suzuka Curcuit.
What a great lap. Congratulations. What is the real speed compared with the GPS? Your tyre grip is way better then I have and corner lines seem better. I notice you keep a close line on the last S corner probably to have a good line for Dunlop. I tried this with the AR1's and can do that maybe doing 120km but with Direzza I had to slow down to keep the line. Fantastic.
@83nnsax1376 ай бұрын
Thank you very much. I still have some mistakes and have not put it all together, but I enjoyed the ride, so that's OK (laughs). The speed of the vehicle speed sensor compared to the GPS is about 5% faster than the GPS. The following video takes the vehicle speed from the speed sensor, so the meter reading will be roughly the same as this. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJfKh6qJi8mCm8k

That's a real good time on the S course. You have so much grip and probably low gears so pickup is fast on the short course. Will be at the October meeting.
@83nnsax1376 ай бұрын
We were able to improve our time due to the effect of the road surface renovation a few years ago. The 6-speed 4.4 final was very good pickup on both the full course and the south course with the right gear ratio. I will not be able to participate in October, but I hope to be able to join you sometime.

You have many great changes to your car so can expect a good lap time so I will let you pass anytime. Sorry we can't meet in October. Keep up the NSX fun. I will be at the Tokyo Auto Salon in Jan. next year at the Kinokuni Enterprise booth if you have time.
Interesting problem with the sludge in the oil pan. You have the best oil cooler available. Sludge is caused by oil over heating and as your engine is in good condition so not ring blow by. Please check to see if air is is going through the oil cooler by placing a strong fan in front of the car and put a piece of paper and also try with your hand at the back of the cooler and check for air movement on both sides of the core. You need space for the air to go after going through the core. We had this problem with our race car radiator and blew 2 engines before noticing very little air flow due to being too close to the engine.
@83nnsax1377 ай бұрын
I had no idea how much sludge had accumulated until I removed the oil pan. There is about 400cc of oil that has not been drained out by the drain, so from now on I will suck out the remaining oil along with the sludge. I have checked the air flow, but to the extent that I applied air blow, it was dampened by the oil cooler & radiator and did not pass through as much as I thought. I will get a more powerful fan to check.
@waynemillis44187 ай бұрын
@@83nnsax137 That's a lot of sludge, too much. Usually multi grade modern oils break up the sludge that is already in the engine and old engines. Your engine is new with regular oil changes. Check ring blow-by by removing the dip stick and rev the engine and feeling for excessive air flow. Remove the engine oil cap and check for foam or sludge. The Setrab core is more than enough to cool your oil and maybe too much in winter. Move the core around to get the best flow and test the oil temp. under many speeds. High oil temp will slowly cause sludge but full synthetic oil will release sludge from around the engine. Check radiator to see if you are not losing (bubbles) anti freeze, blown head gasket which will cause sludge. Over filling oil capacity. Hope these cheap checks will help.
@83nnsax1377 ай бұрын
Thanks for the information. We do not run the oil cooler except for circuit driving, and the oil temperature is usually around 80-90°C. We run the oil cooler only during circuit driving, but the oil temperature still exceeds 120℃ and rises to a maximum of 137℃ as shown in the video. Therefore, we are implementing various oil temperature countermeasures. We are concerned about the oil pump not being able to suck oil due to lateral G at the circuit, so we are using a larger amount of oil (upper level). That may be one of the causes of sludge.
Many thanks for the LED conversion video which was very interesting as I now have HID and are rather weak compared with the other cars especially noticeable on country roads ( no road lights) at night with on coming traffic.,
@83nnsax1378 ай бұрын
I see...HIDs are too dark. I don't know because I went with LED from the beginning. However, I feel that LEDs tend to cut out easily, so I need to be careful.
@waynemillis44188 ай бұрын
@@83nnsax137 Thanks for the reply. You say that LED's cut out easily. Does that mean the units break or the light itself cuts off at a distance? Just last year I managed to buy some HID old style ballasts so not sure if I should change to LED.
@83nnsax1378 ай бұрын
LEDs generate a lot of heat, so if they are not cooled properly, the LED elements at the point of emission and the surrounding electronic circuits will burn out from the heat, and the LEDs will not light up. The stock HID unit of the NSX is not suitable for LEDs because all the LEDs are placed inside the cover, so heat dissipation is not possible.
@waynemillis44188 ай бұрын
@@83nnsax137 It appears that your headlight unit rear cover is different than the NA1 which has 2 round twist in dust covers. USA NSX Prime mail says most leave off the dust covers as the LED is too large and someone is selling a 3D printed larger version. Some cut a hole for ventilation.
@83nnsax1378 ай бұрын
My headlight unit is a HID unit for NA2. The HID unit has a cover on the back that integrates the low and high beams.

Another great video of the Owners meeting. The track would be very full with 34 cars. In October there were 26 cars and I found it difficult to get a clean lap but like you after passing 2 cars after the hair pin another faster car passed me so I moved over, touched the grass at about 160km and my heart jumped to a higher level. Congratulations on the good lap time.
@83nnsax1379 ай бұрын
26 cars in Suzuka would still be fine. It is hard to get a clear lap when you are in a group of several cars, though. I am afraid to touch the grass at about 160km/h.
@waynemillis44189 ай бұрын
@@83nnsax137 many groups were on 3min +laps and the NC cars moved over to let me pass on the straights but they are way faster so thankfully they backed off.
@83nnsax1379 ай бұрын
NC1 straight is fast. Lap times vary, but all NSX Meeting participants are well mannered and easy to drive.
