Plato played an important role in encouraging Greek intellectuals to consider science as theory. His academy taught arithmetic as part of philosophy

@@LEGENDQUOTESLQ39 yes because of his predecessors not because of plato pythagoras comes to mind this is what i mean platos biggest contribution was too the idea of the state being greater than the individual that is why he held traction for 3000 years. that and obviously his writings of socrates but since he was quoting that is socrates not plato.
