They are not snobs they are great people to troop with and be around 😉, note I'm a member of the UK garrison myself the people whithin the group ate very very knowledgeable people especially when you are starting a W.I.P ( working progress) which I'm currently doing for my ANH Vader the armourers are very helpful and informative people and the group as a whole has made ne feel very welcoming it my second year with the UK garrison and I'm looking forward to meeting new and fellow members I've neet and haven't meet before 😊, from TKID-11935

@Cosplayvicar it's a beautiful kit it used to belong to a chap called tony knobbs it was his original Vader kit and a chap called Dave fredricks brought it of him around just before COVID and never cleared it, the last time the kit was cleared was about 6 to 7 years ago it's a nice kit but the one thing is going to be a pain I the boots I'm probably going to have some custom ones made 🙂

@@paom2583 That’s a really good question. I have to be honest that information is now out of my mind. I printed mine 109% taller than the actual files. We noticed when we printed the files as they were the shins did not cover all the way up to just under my knee cap. I wanted them to come to mid way my knee cap. Bearing in mind that the two shins are not the same size. One is 1.5cm shorter.

May I ask what Filament did you use for the 3d printed shins? and are the 3D print armory vader shins you used 501st approved in the UK garrison? I have the 3d print armory shin files for a while now but have postponed printing them as I didn't see anyone got approved with them without significant modifications to the 3d print/print files. I may decide to print them if you got approved in the 501st using his files. Thanks for making this video!

I tend to use pla+ filament with no problem. Yes I am cleared with these. The files come from scans of original shins so no issue with them. It’s the processing that’s actually important. No print lines visible at all.

The best Methode of joining FDM-Prints like this together is welding them on the inside with an Soldering Iron. Hold the Pieces together where they belong using Tape so they cant move on You. then You run the Soldering Iron over the Seam in a circular Motion. You first du some point like Spotwelding so u dont need the Tape any longer. Then u do the rest. There is a Technik to it, because u can overdo it! I recomment practicing on a test piece like you Misprints!

Hey, they are actuly a non branded pair of light swade cowboy boots. I've had a look around and I can't find anything exactly the same on amazon at the moment. But that was where I found them origionaly.
