I own V collection, Pigments 2 and Omnisphere 2. Arturia V collection is a remake of the original classics on which its the cheapest way to own such synths. Each has its own sound, and requires you to understand each and every synths to get the best from them. Arturia also include Minibrute, Minifreak which are two of their own hardware synth recreations. You then have the Argmented synths that are a hybrid of real world instruments and Synthisis. Pigments is more like Omnisphere, but has its own sound in which sounds full, rich and punchy. Omnisphere has a bit of it all, but very little of real world instruments. but loads of Pads, SFX, and textures. The sounds in Omnisphere are huge out the box. Its easier to learn Omnisphere 2 than tons of individual synths from Arturia, and offers more as in presets from Pigments. If you could only have 3 synths packages it would be Onmisphere, NI Ultimate 14, and VPS avenger if your into EDM, or Serum. Analog Lab is only a small snippet of what V collection lets you have and do.

The iMac can be great for music production and even video editing, the issue here is that you’re using the base model, which only has 8 Gb of RAM and a 7 core GPU, it obviously won’t be great. However if you get the 10 core GPU + 16 Gb Model or more it’d be different. Great video tho 😊

Hey glad you liked the video! I did mention some of the specs that were limiting factors ☺️ definitely having more RAM would be step one haha

Oh word 😮, another AI based app for non-creative, untalented individuals to sell their below mediocre brand. 🫤 I know that comes off harsh and in all honesty I can genuinely see and appreciate the true value of AI and the limitless possibilities within it... Yet the downside being all of these individuals who've never put in the effort towards learning and independently creating their personal aesthetic or art, nor being born with that unique and special artistic gene wanting to get into the scene/industry only because it seems like a fun lifestyle and they should also be a part of it.... Regardless, just kinda lame that independent and genuine artistic creativity is starting to diminish because at such an early age so many kids are starting to learn that this is the easiest road to achieve it.

I created some drum midis in FL Studio with my Roland kit using a VST from Goran Grooves. Now my son wants to use those midis to trigger sounds from FPC instead of the original samples in my VST. The trouble is, FPC doesn't have a hihat edge pad, just closed hihat, and the ride cymbal behaviour is different...my VST adds bell to the same piano roll line via velocity, FPC needs bell assigned to a separate pad. Added to that, open hihat and cross stick don't match lines with either VST, so a lot of copy/ paste/ moving will be required. So...question: Can FPC be remapped so that its piano roll lines match the same drum/ cymbal assignment as Handy Drums from Goran Grooves, so I don't have to replay all ten songs again/ get involved in some serious repositioning of midi notes?

This is exactly what I needed. Lifesaver video. I have been looking for a method how to sidechain my freaking synth bus to my kick..using audio to trigger on Flstudio. This video saved me from migrating to ableton. Ableton sidechain default compression sidechain is honestly on of the best.

I'd say have both of course. So, what? total of $700? Heck! I used to buy a single orchestral library for $800 during sale. And the good news is that I am getting my Keylab 49 board next month so I'll be getting the software for free which is a big bonus.

You totally train a model of just your speaking but most people change their tone when singing, even when attempting to sing as non-singers. So usually that will always result in a better, more realistic sounding voice model! It also only learns the timbre and accent of your voice so it’s ok if you can’t hit the right notes and rhythm.

now i want to put that midi file into another AI that will make its own interpretation of what music instruments are being played and create a song out of it. kinf of like color photo to black and white photo and then use an ai to colorise the photo again

out of curiousity do you feel cymatics has fallen off over the course of the duration of the pandemic? I remember like... Cymatics used to be good in my opinon; things were just cleaner and not overused like in most packs now; they feel like just copy pastes of the same sounds. I remember grabbing the starter kits and the free packs and being blown away by the quality. Now it just seems like their rushing for money without caring about quality over quantity

I was really excited about this. It was not what I ideally hoped for though. After deep diving I found: PROS Glamorous interface. Easy to use. Nice sounds. If you just need to quickly generate a base idea, this can do that. CONS Its canned, i.e. its basically a pretty interface into a finite set of notes\patterns. To say another way, its not algorithmic nor using AI. Interface would have been easier if they simply listed the handful of patterns for each chord, bass, arp. As opposed to say Orb Producer which generates new unique notes based on your parameters. The "parameters" in Pilot basically filter it to select a canned, not spontaneously generated note set. If you create a small number of tunes Pilot is cool. If however you start to create more than 10 tunes, the static patterns and lack of diversity will become apparent. I never write critical reviews. This is a first. I thought people should know what they are getting (and not getting). SUGGESTION If they add AI or make it truly generate new and unique notes and patterns that would be great.

I heard most people found that if you take your kicks curve and use shaper box to draw it's amplitude (ie volume) in reverse - you get a better shape than if you are using a sidechain with release. Ie you can match the volume to the kick scientifically rather than by ear with a release on a sidechain compressor. Plus smart comp4 a soothe 2 can be side chained to do frequency dependent removal/sidechaining/unmasking.
