​@@lucar3620well, "Nier" is a pretty melancholic story, and Devola and Popola indirectly contribute to it. Not only that, the two remind me somewhat of Sunny and Basil, particularly their destructive traits. So if there should be any self harming feelings lingering even after the truth, I think they'd perfectly manifest it.

He’s doing it out of compassion, but that leads to the machines genociding the aliens and the Red Girls taking over and doing all the messed up things they do in Automata and beyond in a quest to drive their own evolution lol

​​​@@abdieljove2011in the robots' defense, the aliens not only were genocidists too, they're desribed as animalistic, based on both their actions and speech in the CD drama (even the pre-reveal Shades behaved humanely enough to get you to question some things). The Red Girls may be problematic, but gaining the Fire of Prometheus is necessary evil, lest you want to risk said aliens moving beyond Earth. Besides, humanity is extinct by that point. Let its legacy carry on to the next generation to occupy our planet, so that we won't become meaningless.

@@JabamiLain True. And I’ll be honest…I think the Red Gorls are a monster born out of circumstances. The Machine Network gains sentience after being freed by "God", aka Beepy. But it was just designed with the drive to constantly evolve and as a tool of war. So…it starts finding meaning via the methods it understands. It wipes out the aliens, becomes obsessed with studying humanity as a stepping stone for their evolution and then uses the endless war with the Androids to apply evolutionary pressure for the Machines. And by the time of the FF14 crossover, they’ve moved on to trying to assimilate everything around them to drive their evolution, using Maso to develop Seeds of Destruction and invading worlds. Gonna be honest, I fully expect the big reveal somewhere down the line that the "God" who wrecked the Drakengard world is a version of the Red Girls who have evolved way past what we’ve seen, using Maso to assimilate entire worlds, and are invading other timelines after creating the Watchers. It’s all some time loop BS.. The cataclysm Accord is trying to stop is "God"/ that version of the Red Girls collapsing every timeline unto themselves. After all, everything else supernatural has gotten a Sci fi explanation by now. The dragons, flowers and more. Of course, crackpot theory. Either way, my point is the Red Girls’ actions are monstrous, but I’m pretty sure at the end of the day they’re just another confused AI trying to find its own meaning. Because that’s the most Yoko Taro thing ever.

I will always feel sympathy and compassion for them, even if I agree they could have managed things better. But no one will ever convince me not to enjoy ending C. To forgive Kainé. That demon ! She murdered the Wolf, Kalil and Beepy ! They were the ones she could relate to the most, and yet it meant nothing for her ! The Lizard and the Village were already dead for God's sake ! Hansel, Gretel and that Shade from Kainé's former village can also burn with her for all I care. Hansel and Gretel helped begin the journey that massacred all other Shades, and the Shade at the village was powerful, but refused to help its fellow race.

I think even if they loved, they still should have been able to manipulate events more too. Love can become manipulative. Some people may define...standards for you to earn love. Especially when despaired. And they had all reason to do so.

Same. I gave 0 fucks about the game because i dont fall for sexy lady bullshit. Forgot about it for years. For some reason i felt like i would like to play a stupid braindead game with hot chicks. O boy. How wrong i was. I was in my low spot back then. The game made me devastated for weeks. Favourite on spot. I picked it during my low, and didnt expect it. Automata changed me a little. Thats for sure.

@@chizuru3240 I think it's more like Emi Evans's term for the conlangs she uses for the NieR series's vocal tracks. So, to LowenRoar, the lyrics aren't in a real language and don't have any defined meaning. In the game, the characters do talk about the legend the lyrics are supposedly about, but there's never any actual direct, complete translation of the lyrics themselves.

@@ZhadTheRad I would rather watch an analysis on the drakengard games, from what I hear they are very dated. Also they are collectors items, to actually play the originals can get pretty expensive. And you have to have a working ps2 with memory card, and then as you go on a working ps3 etc.

Hello Alpha, as greenteasbag already mention this is madeup language and the singers are japanese while trying to use syllables mostly from japanese language with occasional attempts at different languages here and there. I was looking for the official lyrics for a very long time, but the one in description is the most "authentic" I found in my search, as it is marked as SQuare Enix Music. Of course had to replace some of the letters with as close-looking letter from with cyrilic alphabet as possible, hope that answered the question :) By no means I am saying mine is perfect, but I did do some research on my work :)

But since I couldn't myself find an official source (as in, on an official square enix website or something like that) I wasn't sure. (As for what I responded to greenteabag, this was mostly to show the flaw in their logic, you could justify any lyrics that way)

They indeed are, couldn't find any nice screenshot from Replicant that would work well with the effect. Of course considered some, but in the end Song of the Ancients isn't just in Replicant, so didn't think it would do too much harm to use Automata version :)
