Hi Red, long time fan of your videos! Your recent Fractured Days videos have inspired me to finally learn this spirit because the idea of the spirit is so cool but it's so daunting to play outside of digital. I had a very easy time with Russia 5, but then I tried England 5 and kept struggling and having an inconsistent time with it, usually not having enough damaage/removal to outscale England solo. I feel like sometimes my days would all roll very explorer-focused minors and minors with bad elements, so I was wondering if you could do a playthrough of England 6 with kind of lackluster minors in the days pool? I think it would be a great learning experience on how to adapt to situations like that with this spirit.

Is this the slowest spirit in the game?

Vital feels like the best spirit to remember you can lose due to time limit.

Literally just topdeck vigor and threshold it. Every game.

when you assigning damage, you can press the eye icon and then press the land you are assigning damage, you can click on individual invader to assign damage

You might have to rethink that A on the match up axis. Best Major one could find and still struggling.

Do you think Resilience is slightly under the power curve? It's special rule is good at not losing but not that good at winning lol

downpour is a great water plant spirit

"The most card plays in the entire game!" In the digital version. Dances up Earthquake would like to have a word 😂 I have to disagree on the Pour Time Sideways being weak and Past Returns being worthless in multiplayer. I play most of my games with 3 or 4 spirits. Pour Time Sideways can literally nullifies a whole board and even more if used correctly and planned around. It is extremely powerful, but it does require a bit of planning ahead. Also, I don't know for digital versions, may be a clarification is missing, but you can pay the energy *collectively* for Past Returns. So while it costs a whole lot of time, I definitely think it's worth using sometimes. And even more against strong adversaries, where you can also prevent an Escalation by moving a Tier 1 card back in. Are they situational ? Absolutely, yes. Are they weak and/or useless ? Absolutely not.

i feels like youre so fast you have to lap the invaders. the tempo for new players is very odd. when my friend played for the second time he chose this spirit and the whole time we were deciding when to unload the clip or not because that would set us back like 2 turns

lightning is such an awkward spirit for me. i have issues growing in a way that feels good

I have to give it a try, that was definitely interesting. Immense is by far my favorite Aspect for Lightning currently. Really enjoy how much you can use those major powers and tresholds. And how it really feels like a different Spirit.

It’s crazy how much fear this spirit generates. I was trying to do the achievement for activating every level of every innate power for the aspects, and pandemonium lightning took several tries because I kept blowing through the fear deck before drafting the right cards 😂

Pandemonium is the coolest way to play lightning

Panda vs England 6 is a pretty cool solo match-up

I’ve been loving just spamming panda into Sweeden/England since the update came out. Therapeutic is a great word for it. Something about the rote growth and drafting for elements just let’s you flow through it

Great video! Just trying out the aspects digital as ive never got around to playing them physical. Really struggling with Sunshine River though solo just cant get it to click for some reason or may just be the adversary that moves towns after build that's messing up my push plays...

Imo tigers has anti synergy with habsburg because the towns have extra health in non blighted lands. I tend to avoid that card in the matchup

will we get an ice spirit or waterfall spirit or humidity spirit

Multi handed seems so difficult

I am on my journey to play every spirit once before I start with adversaries and I had 1 blight remaining and had to black hole the board 3 times to barely grab the win. This spirit is probably the worst one ever created. You feel like you are playing a crippled Many Minds and that's already a crippled spirit. Like, damn this spirit is bad...

I understand Serpent Slumbering Beneath the Island is very strong, but is it even possible to win singleplayer with it?

34:10 Whenever you need to do precise damage distribution, or want detailed info about invaders/strife/etc, press tab/the eye and then left click the land. Also, not sure if you know this but if you left click the phase button (left of undo) you can quickly jump back to specific points in time instead of spamming undo a bunch.

Will you play with Madness too?

I can't believe they included a gazillion options and they still do not consider making a playmat that replaces those annoying boards.

You can check what cards you had left in the Days pile at the end screen like you have been doing in the past few videos. You can see them fanned out under your special rules on the spirit board.

i hate when the days are too strong. i feel like i stare at all the nice cards too long and forget about economics

i’d like to see a solo fractured days where you get that card to make a new board so then you can use pour time sideways

That was a crazy good combo, love it. Love the commentary too, fast enough to not be boring, and deep enough to help us understand what's going on. If you haven't already, you should try Serpent with Shifting Memory. Mentor Aspect makes it even better imo. You can also add Time to make it even more insane. This combo almost feels like cheating. With the right card draws, you can allow Serpent to start adding presence with his innate straight from Turn 1.

Hi Red. Great vid. Just wondering if you could help explain something to me. Why towards the end of the video did you double call to guard damage? Wouldn't one use have sufficed with 4 damage on the town? Fractured so insane just wondering if i missed something. Don't you just love that fractured and aspects are now in digital? Handelabra did a fantastic job imo.

what other water spirits could there be? could be like ice or snow situation that uses badlands or something. or other water spirit could be a geyser spirit water air fire earth. what about a cloud spirit affecting humidity of the island like air water plant situation.

i love this for a water spirit. just go with the flow until the flow gets goin. i love there is the ocean, a river, a swamp, a monsoon, a mist, and now a lake (with blood)

Man I distinctly remember playing the board game version of this, and I absolutely loved it. I just got the digital version with B&C; HoSI and it’s so fun!

That was a great game! Love seeing fractured in a multi spirit game, and the wind lightning + river combo is awesome! Hopefully it’ll make a return once double adversaries are added to the game 😁

This was a great video! Honestly wasn't as long as I thought it would be given the complexity. I think the digital UI makes these kinds of videos a lot easier to make with the reduced mental load and the app keeping track of a lot of things for you. Would love to see more videos like this!

That was probably the best game of Spirit Island I've ever seen... that was just fantastic. Doesn't happen often, but any time you get a thresholded Cast Down, it's gonna be a good time. Loved the 3-spirit gameplay, too. Really showcases the awesome cooperative/supportive elements of SI. Do you have any plans of doing more videos playing 2+ spirits? It would be awesome.
