The overall track record at Kalamazoo speedway set by Andy Bozell and his number 70 “winged” outlaw late model in 2016, with a time of 9.465 and an average speed of 142.631 mph, it is also the fastest recorded 3/8 mile lap anywhere in the world. So yeah, these things can get absolutely insane and I 100% recommend watching that record lap as I just looks unreal

being an old days dirt late model racer i love the footage, but the narrator needs a lesson on trailers, state laws restrict how wide a trailer can be, so it didn't matter if it were inside a trailer or outside the trailers could only be 8 ft wide at the widest point, like the outside of the tires. the big wedge cars we race were usually 6 ft max at the widest point.

I started dirt track racing in the wedge days and watched it change to what it is today, but now they are going totally wild. If you look at Devon morans car and it actually looks bent.

In a historical coincidence to his Milwaukee run, AJ's final Indy Car win at Pocono in 1981 also included dirt cars! In a bid to build car count during the CART/USAC feud that year 8 Silver Crown cars were entered into the race. None of them did great and only 4 finished the race, a best finish of 11th (18 laps down), but historically significant because it marked the last time an upright dirt car would ever compete in an Indy Car race. 🏁

Hello. The video is alright, but-would you please disable the background music on it? It's so extremely distracting and annoying, I don't even have the words for it. I would really like to hear your explanation and the the onboard sound, but I keep hearing the music instead. I don't know why music keeps popping up in informative and educational videos, it's some kind of a plague and a major bungle on KZbin's side.

I learned that one of the links holding the rear end from rotating too far came apart (5th arm left/right link, I’m sure there is an actual term for it). I believe that is what actually hit the shaft and started the failure. From then on it was chaos
