As a Colombian American, I find this extremely offensive that the Mexican Pledge was taught in school that hasn't been a part of Mexico for over a 150+ years!! A U.S citizen can not be made to know or recite the code of country pledges from another country. The united states pledge is not redicited in other nations by orders issoed in america and is volentary.

Didn’t Texas just allow Mexicans to vote in Texas for Mexico’s presidential election? Is Mexico under such a crisis that a neighboring country has to assist them. May i point out we are not allowed to say Americas pledge in public school because outsiders think it's offensive, the same thing happened to public prayer. Some outsider didn't like that people prayed in public so doing it was made not allowed it is not even allowed at the capital. You cannot say the pledge of alliance to America, sing American songs, or fly an American flag, yet you're allowing schools to pledge alliance to Mexico? Last year at a holiday program in the capital a group of choir members was singing the American national anthem and they were told doing was offensive and that they were not allowed to sing it.

Pledgeing to an outside country is disrespectful to the country you are in. If the teacher loved Mexico so much and doesn't like American traditions she should have stayed in Mexico instead of coming over here and making kids in American schools Pledge to Mexico. She should be punished for treazen. That teacher is a traiter and should not be allowed in our community or our country. She is not a good example for our children.

As a Mexican I tell you that first of all, the way to salute the flag is not correct. His hand is pressed against his chest, palm facing down. And I think that American students do not have to learn the Mexican anthem or that of any other country other than the North American anthem. Here in Mexico they don't teach us the North American anthem in schools, only the English language.
