The donated units have done well in Ukraine. I saw a Russian soldier inspecting a captured one. He looked at all the hull damage, then crawled inside and was stunned that the crew compartment was undamaged.

..."Failed" ???... It didn't "fail" - after all the testing turned out to have better effectiveness than the "Gepard" - however it couldn't be included in the new defense budget in 2009, because there were other priorities back then. TODAY however, with our new expanded budget, it'll still be produced, but within a much broadly integrated and much more advanced system called "NOTEĆ" (the Noteć is a name of of a Polish river) - that can integrate newly aquired planes, different SAM batteries PLUS old "soviet era" AA-guns & platforms into one functioning & centralized AA-system.

Simple answer. The Sea Eagle could not carry the Phoenix missile and it did not have a better radar than the F-14 did at the time. The Navy stuck with the Tomcat for this reason.

Thank you for your large commitment to sharing knowledge about military vehicles. I will also say that your english has improven by a lot over the years. Your voice is soft and pleasant like your accent. And thanks for giving Swedens military weapons some well deserved attention and recognition that they are good. Because most of them are pretty good, and often times among the best in the world. I wish that this horrific unnecessary war in Ukraine could have been avoided and Sweden could have gotten its recognition for its engineering skills without this war.

"I saw something similar in Reading, UK in 2018 hovering silently. It was a moonless night, making it very dark, but I could see three circles on each corner of the triangle and another circle in the middle. This triangular object was hovering around 50 meters high in the north direction. After some research, I found out that there is an American airbase near Cambridge, UK. Fortunately, I was with other people who could verify what we saw. I strongly believe it was an American secret aircraft." And after watching this video I have realised that Mercury is been found at the bottom of the pyramids this secret technology must be emerged out and keep it secret for obvious commercial reasons.

Its perhaps something in between an APC and an IFV. Back in the 1960s it could probably have been used as an IFV with all the extra firepower and protection it had compared to the M113. But on a modern battlefield do I think this vehicle is just as vulnerable as an old M113. And having hatches in the rear where the soldiers can look out for threats and fire their guns is perhaps more a burden than an asset in a time period when drones are flying everywhere. Those hatches are great at giving the troops an overview over the battlefield, and allows them to fire on the enemy before they leave the vehicle, and allows them to defend the vehicle before the vehicles own crew have even spotted a threat. So it is good against enemy soldiers, but perhaps not so against drones. I guess the vehicle can be vulnerable against mines and drones like the M113. Some Swedes argue its an infantry fighting vehicle, while some say its not. Its a matter of debate. However I think this vehicle will undoubtably will be useful as an ambulance. But its not my first choice for storming enemy positions with.

@@nattygsbord Большинство минусов связано со временем его создания и использования этой машинки. На мой взгляд основные минусы это отсутствие современной пушки с системы управления огнем, а также отсутствие соответствующих оптических прицелов - как дневных так и ночных.
@nattygsbord12 күн бұрын
Some swedish military bloggers wonders if those vehicles even got their 20mm guns left. Some of them say that this 20mm gun is superior to the machine gun on M113. But there are others that say that it is inferior, as it do not cause much fragmentation beyond 1 meter and the little it creates could be absorbed by body armor that are common nowadays - which was not the case back in the 1960s. So they mean that the Machine gun on M113 therefore is superior as it can shot through trees and it is a gun that is easy to maintain. So I would not be surprised if Ukriane put another weapon on these vehicles.

The information provided in the video was published by another channel before. The only differences is the voice and the fact that the pbv302 is based on the American M113 with added protection, better/faster door and a gun from the outdated Saab 29 tunnan (a Swedish multirole fighter). I have a strong feeling that I'm not the only on that saw that video!
