@markwilliford5319 0 seconds ago George Jones, Tex Ritter, Janis Jopliin, "The Big Bopper" Mark Chesnutt, Tracy Byrd, Clay Walker all have one thing in common - they all grew up within 30 miles of each other near Beaumont, Texas.

Same here... I'm 34 and was raised by some the best and thank God for that because today's youngins don't know real heart touching music. REAL COUNTRY MUSIC... But my God after losing my grandparents who helped my daddy raise me and losing them 6 months apart, I've completely lost my mind. All I can say and I beg you listen to me, if you still have yours PLEASE cherish every second with them and spend as much time as possible doing for them and showing and telling them how much you love them. I don't give a damn how old and cranky they get and how mean at times they may seem I beg you take each and every little attitude or mean word they throw at you and NEVER back talk or say one disrespectful thing to them. Because I promise when they are gone your not going to think of all the bad things they said to you but you will think of every damn bad and disrespectful thing you said to them and I promise it'll haunt you day in day out and it's a constant pain on top of the pain of them being gone forever and both are the worst hurting kinda pain you'll ever feel in your life. And I promise you'll feel it every second of everyday if you love them at all. Hug them, kiss them, spend all your time with them that you can possibly sorry with them because time Flys and you'll one day be all on your own just wishing you could pick the phone up and call them or drive by their home seeing them through the window, you'll wish for just a little while longer just to touch and smell them, to hear and speak with them one more time and it NEVER will be again.

@@charliec30 honey believe me I know. This generation is just sad, the world we live in today is just sad and just flat out pathetic all the way around. I'd give anything to call back those good ole day's and to have all the one's who made those day's and to know what I know now. Best year's of my life. Mr. Charlie thanks for your response and may you and yours stay blessed love.

Love this song was one of my granddaddy’s favourites. He was a New Zealand cowboy and horse whisper who knew every bird call and would copy them and sing his western music while working God how I miss him . And thankful to God for having him as my Pop
