I wonder if Jonathon Hart was a forefather of John Hart. The downtown business developer in BC.

James Emerson Medcoff is said by the narrator to have been born December 30th 1917. I wonder how his tombstone came to read 1918 as his birth year.
@MichaelDelaware
@MichaelDelaware 2 күн бұрын
It could be I made an error in reading it, or the historical reference I was using had the incorrect date. I have also encountered where the tombstones had errors on birthdates (proven by birth certs) simply because someone estimated and did not have the exact information.

I miss the 1800s, LOL. The cabage addition is interesting, as in the UK Samhain, old Halloween, had a dish, one of the things eaten, of basically mashed potatoes and cabage. It's yummy. Bella L

Hi, I live in Wattles Park, and the original abstract of our house states that first property owner from the 1800s owned from here to Territorial Road, and I've been trying to figure it out. Maybe you might want to take a look. Today is 8/3/2024
@MichaelDelaware
@MichaelDelaware 23 күн бұрын
@@amandaantes2242 The library of Congress website has a few maps from the 1800s that might show you the parcel. From my past research’Wattles Park’ gets its name from a Dr. Wattles that lived that area. Perhaps it was his original land that was divided into parcels. If I remember correctly that area was developed in the 1870s when the Interurban line went by there.

There is a cemetery on the corner of Riverview and D Avenue in cooper township, Next to what is clearly a family plot, there is a slightly larger than life size statue of a hound. I’d love to hear the story behind that.

My direct ancestors was traced back to Dr. Harvey Kellogg ! from one of his "kids"?? Although he had no kids of his own! Is there a way to find if my ancestor also come from the " Haskell house"?? Many years ago, while still an Adventist we knew the Haskell family! Being just " kids" they didn't tell us about their background. I have pictures of my ancestors with Dr. Kellogg , thanks to the internet. and some info from my grandmother who knew Ellen White! My grandmother used to write articals for the " Signs Of Times". I would love to fill in gaps! As they never talked about my ancestry! My relation to the Adventist Church has been very rocky! They don't like being questioned!

Buddy of mine lives on Lawrence Rd between M37 and North ave. The area he lived in would heave every winter and turn into a depression that more than a few idiots would speed over to their out of control surprise. Well, that area was discovered to be filled with logs from the original builders of that road.

How bad are the winters? I'm from the south and thinking about about moving here.
@MichaelDelaware
@MichaelDelaware 2 ай бұрын
Having moved from the south myself 20 + years ago, I can tell you that you will find the first winters colder than you can imagine. However, the biggest thing I learned was to follow advice from the locals on what to wear. Adding wool clothing to your wardrobe is a must (socks, leggings, coats, etc.), and it is something that took me several winters of suffering to learn. Also making sure your feet and head are dry and warm (wool again) is 75% of the battle. Once I learned those two basic lessons, enduring winters became very easy. Oh, and you will learn to always look down when you are walking anywhere outdoors, because black ice is sinister!

Thank you for this interview. I served in the Air Force and one of my assignments was in the 100th SRW Standardization office. I remember Colonel (then Major) Amundson and I remember when he took over as chief of the U-2 Standardization office. My desk was in the same office as Col Amundson and the other U-2 Standardization pilots, and I developed the highest respect for them all.

All of those Poor Victims - Those Adults and Children beloved in God's presence. How sad a loss, though so long ago. As for the unrepentant MONSTER, Andrew Kehoe, the demons who encouraged his hatred have the ongoing laugh at his eternal, well-earned suffering/ torments. He likely thought it was over with his own explosion - His eternal "reward" for his hideous deeds are yet to be collected, and that will bring the hateful creature NO peace, EVER...
