I wonder if Taylor Swift and three of her backing members or Beyonce and three of hers would attempt something like this? Rhetorical question....of course not.

When it rains, the water gathers in the river and the sound it makes reminds us that there is more to nature than science can ever pretend to tell us. I am an atheist but I despise materialism and I am filled with wonder at the beauty that the human spirit can create.

One of a few young guitarists coming up - Billy Strings, Samantha Fish and now Grace Bower, at only 17. I'm old now, and it's glad to hear younger musicians playing such good music so well.

Billy is the torch carrier. Jerry was a bluegrass picker before the Grateful Dead paved the road of what a traveling group of hippies would look like. Phish overlapped and took reign when Jerry passed. Many band line the biscuits and cheese had their shot but nothing really took hold in the same manner. And now here we are. Over 50 years later and Billy is not only going to be the one to revive a lot scene for the next generation but he is also bringing it full circle back to the Bluegrass Jerry and The Grateful Dead (Warlocks) started with all along.

I love every time they play this, chills every single time on the harmonies, I learned to play this cause of hearing it from Billy and his dad.

I randomly had this in my head a few days before this show. Singing it out loud l, being goofy, for days. I even had the kids singing it, haha! So it was extra special for me when Dad came out and sang it that night! #manifest
