Wow I had no idea that the director of Jeepers creepers was a pedophile. That being said I would love to see a video where you give us your thoughts on how we relate to previously beloved artists (not that said director falls into this category) who end up being complete garbage people. Maybe on this channel or thought slime? Should we engage with good art made by terrible people?

*SPOILER WARNING* . . . Something else - there is not a single other woman or girl on the island other than Jessica, the runaway girl she sees, and Emily..and like you said, there's all roosters and no hens visible. Emily went after all of them. 🧛‍♀

Personally I prefer Ito's single stories, like House of Puppets, Hell-o Dolly and Ribs Woman...probably the creepiest is the story where a family forms a literal connection to its ancestors by having each patriarch or matriarch attach the top of their head to the next decendant's skull, forming a centuries old centitpede creature...😊

I disagree that Power is best girl because we have post-Eternity Kobeni and Himeno at all. Mikama is definitely Worst girl though, and I'm excited for folks to see more of why. This video got me to finally actually read it and put it to the front of my list and I'm sad it's not done and I have to waut on more because it's soooooo fucking gooooooood.

10 minutes saying the movie is racist 11 minutes in: I don't think it's racist!!!! Wow, this video was ass, and you clearly only care about politically correctness instead of enjoying a film for what it is.

Sorry for being this kind of nerd, but Olivia Chow is Toronto's third female mayor. June Rowlands (1991-1994) and Barbara Hall (1994-1997). During Forever Knight's entire run, only women were mayor of the city. Sort of a neat little factoid.

to answer your question early on, some addiction groups are more general. AA is about alcohol, but NA was created for general substance addictions (narcotics). SMART recovery meetings aren't necessary for a specific addiction. Usually if the addiction is something like, overeating that person would go to a specific meeting because they can't use the abstinence model used in most other programs.

It's pretty depressing that you can tell the extremely boring and/or nonsensical kills were born entirely of budget limitations. Every single one of those wishes could've had a million way more interesting kills come of them, but the filmmakers didn't have the money or passion to do any of that, so it's all limited to "what can we do that won't cost more than $100".

I can personally vouch for Death Bed being... interesting! A little slow at parts (in a manner unsurprising for the 70s), but so cheap and goofy at times that you can help but love it. I am not kidding when I say the titular death bed is given very loud munching and gulping sounds, they bothered filming "stomach acid" shots of stuff the bed eats floating in some tank of yellow water and "dissolving" ie cross fading stuff like apples and chicken wings with more bites taken out of them. Someone brings a whole ass KFC bucket onto the bed and lets it spill everywhere and is surprised when they look back to find all the meat cleaned off the bones. Also there's an ancient ghost trapped in a hole in the wall. And I think a witch saves the day.

I remembered seeing this movie when I was too young to understand the political allegory and loving it, and then I went back and rewatched it recently and I love it far more than I ever did. It's fucking amazing. Why don't we get more movies that are fun rollercoaster ride absurd surrealist takedowns of conservative politics, landlords, and capitalism?n

Coming in here three years and who even knows how many Mildreds later to say that I'd love to see a They Live sequel where the monsters are revealed and people keep working for them because they already ran the world and now they're gonna do it with the masks off. We see humans cleaning portajohns at a music festival where the monsters are big acts and dancing in VIP sections, we see wealthy humans collaborating with the monsters because they fundamentally agree that it is right and good to exploit people. Such a movie must be campier and even more homoerotic than the first. It must also be blatant in a refusal to perpetuate antisemitic rhetoric around the critique of capitalist realism. Still needs a good wrestling scene

This video is why people hate the woke. Absolutely no reasonable person could conclude this movie is racist. It's total nuttery designed to attract attention, at the expensive of societal cohesion.

Wow. Completely missed the racist undertones when I first watched this. Watched again after your video. The part where they call in the Indian expert into the bar and ask about the Trogledites and he says “men like YOU wouldn’t distinguish them from Indians” and then also says “they don’t eat negroes”. Insulting the intelligence of white people and then seconds later degrading black people by saying they’re not even edible. Completely out of line. See, you can invent racism wherever you want. This is a dumb take.

If you were not living back in 73 when it first came out in theaters, you would not understand that a film like this was never seen before. No jump scares,no CGI,and no internet to see behind the scenes. The scary part was the mother's agony of not being to help her child. It's a generational thing.
