I didn't want an Aveneer (yet) . But I bought a new Luminaire XP3 at a great price at SMP.

Thank you for going through your supplies. I've been embroidering 10 yrs and you are the first person to point out the screw key was for tightening the hoop. I always thought it was an awkward tool for the needle plate screws. This will help tremendously.

That is such a great idea. If Mulqueens are taking it as a trade-in they’ll be beating off potential purchasers with a stick! 😂 They will probably be able to auction it off!

What happens if you have an applique like for example a bird, and all of it's parts, body, wing, eyes and feet are not seperate. How do you go about separating them out?

I’ve been wanting to make this little quilt I watch you, but I’m brand new at all of this. I do have a good embroidery machine just never used it. I do know my way around software, but not the ones you use so something possible to be involved in.

It would be nice to see a list of what is the essential equipment for snapplique, ie scan and cut, software, embroidery machine. You said it in yesterday's video but there was no list in the description. I think you said Mulqueens has a discount for the scan and cut but I could not find it. A suggestion, title: ESSENTIAL EQUIPMENT FOR SNAPLIQUE would be very helpful. I watch your lives daily and you do say it in the video, but it would be nice to see it in a list as I don't always have a pen/paper in hand.

Hi Becky. I have the Wander Lane Digital pattern. Everything is A4 / Letterside. Makes it easy for me to scan. I live in South Africa and we have A4 paper. This is an advantage for me.

@ jeanfeeley2802 Becky can correct me if I am wrong. However I think you can. Simply trace your pieces scan that in and save to computer and then you should be able to bring it in to your software of choice. Good luck

I actually just thought about it again. Try placing the cut pieces on the mat and scan outside only.

Question: I do have the 12 month OWL mini-quilt subscription with the precut pieces included. Can you still use the snapplique process once all the pieces are placed in their proper places? Thanks.
@PowerToolsWithThread2 күн бұрын
You'll need to scan in the pre-cut pieces to create the shapes. Then yes, put those shapes into embroidery software and create applique on them.

I have the DX 125……. So I can’t scan on a 12 x 24, but supposedly it will cut on a 12 x 24…. Therefore, in this case of your Art to Heart, can I cut in the 24 also? What if I had a bigger project and had to scan on two 12 x 12 mats, can I then ( in Canvas Workspace) bring the pieces in to one 12 x 24 mat to then cut?
@PowerToolsWithThread2 күн бұрын
You can either break the entire process into what will fit on a 12" mat and do it twice. Or, if you have a LOT of pieces that will be cut from the same fabric, you put one large piece of fabric over the entire 24" mat to make sure you cut on the fabric. Otherwise, you can kind of guess by looking at the grid lines on the mat and screen.
