In the book written by Ginger Alden, she stated that morning Elvis could not sleep so he took a second packet of his sleep medication. Ginger, suffering from heavy menstrual cramps had taken Tylenol with codeine, had fallen asleep. During the trial of Dr. Nick, Aunt Delta (Vernon's sister) told Ginger that Elvis had called her that morning and she gave Elvis a third packet. She was frightened because she thought that may have led to his death. In her book, she did not paint him as the drug addict some others have. It is possible that he overdosed that day.

I was there. I called family friend Johnny Pesky that morning and asked if a friend and I could get seats. I didn’t think it was likely, given that the game had been sold out since before the season started, but to my surprise he said, “Sure, come on down.”

In 3 years we will get the truth of his autopsy. He made millions of people happy and shame on the people who abused and exploited him, included Priscilla who took her granddaughter to court a month after Lisa Marie died. Shane shame shame. Long live the king ❤

As a teenager in the 60s I watched Yaz, Rico Petricelli, Longborg, Tony Conigliaro, and so many others. Hard to believe but Yaz salary was $31,000 a year! Today guys that that per inning. Haven’t been to Fenway since 1979, the year I left Boston to move south for good

The prototype of what a major league ballplayer should be, right there - and the crowds' adoration speaks volumes also. Total class and representative of a respect for the game seldom seen these days.

Her book is atrocious - practically every chapter goes on and on about all of the gifts he continuously showered on her and her family. Shallow reading; shallow woman. I doubt they even had sex more than one time ( if even that) given EP was highly drugged out , barely Took showers and was depressed.

There was a level of class in Carl Yastrzemski that is rarely seen in today's players. The fans loved him, and rightly so.

Elvis had a heart attack and the drugs didn't help. If his heart was enlarged, blocked, and several of his immediate family members had past from heart attacks the reality is he probably did too. Where we are with medicine today I believe Geraldo wouldn't have gotten the same answers. Even what the microscope guy said is not what would be said today. Dr. Nick definitely overprescribed medication to Elvis and that's so sad. Cardiac arrhythmia doesn't mean death. I disagree with this report today. I'm not saying drugs didn't play a part in his death but so does his medical history and his family's past medical history. They can't even say because, at this time, they couldn't test the levels of these drugs in his system. Just because you have something in your blood it doesn't mean it killed you. To be far Geraldo did his research, no doubt. Journalism was definitely different at this time. It's sad either way.

It's very easy to point the finger of guilt at Dr. Nic! But the fact remains that Elvis's path to drugs began during his military career and increased with the demanding schedule's of both concerts and acting careers! And with a powerful figure like Elvis Presley it must have been literally impossible to perform Professional Medical Care! If we were to look at the lives of almost all of the successful celeberties of music and silver screen, they all had to be "Kept awake and put to sleep medically!" All one has to do is look at the career of Judy Garland and how as a child actor she was forced to take uppers and downers during the filming of Wizard of Oz. And of course her life ended in a similar fashion as EP. Then fast forward to Michael Jackson and Prince who went down similar paths. In conclusion; The life of a "Star" isn't so bright and more time's than not over the year's the list of Celeberties who have left this life prematurely is very, very long and tragic and the bottom line is the many difficult decisions that these talented people must face is ultimately in their own hands and they are often decisions made with; Pressure, Anxiety, Worry, Stress, Demands and Hardships. And what we often times Forget is the simple fact that these people are Human Beings and the ultimate death of Elvis Presley Should Not be laid in the lap of Dr. Nic but in his own!

My last year in Little League was 1964. Our uniforms were white with red lettering. I wore number 8 and batted left handed. Watched and rooted for the new players coming up through the mid 60s. Then came 1967, a freshman in high school watched the games that were televised, but the bulk were listened to on transistor radios. Everyone on the edge of their seats for 162 games. The final weekend beat the Minnesota Twins twice and got to the World Series. The cardiac kids gave us their all. A week after the conclusion of the World Series, late October a charity golf tournament was held at Pleasant Valley Country Club, Sutton, Massachusetts. Tickets were sold to the general public. An estimated crowd of around 10,000 gathered to watch Golf Professional Paul Harney, Bob Cousy, Ken Harrelson and Carl Yastrzemski play 18 holes. This kid capped off the Impossible Dream caddying for Carl Yastrzemski that day! I would have done it for nothing but thank you for the generous tip Mr. Yastrzemski. A memory I'll always cherish. I fully agree. It doesn't matter what he died from. Those to blame are those that surrounded him. Those who were not friends, but TAKES. His father, Doctors and SO-CALLED friend took what they could for self gain. Even a doctor borrowed $225,000 from him, little repaid. Elvis Presley had talent. He brought joy to many not like today's trash 2024.

His doctor likes to talk but he always throws the blame in the other direction. Before the doctor went to court the state of Tennessee found that Dr. Nick wrote Elvis 12,000 doses of narcotics from January 1977 until August 16th when Elvis passed away. He depended on Elvis for money.

I named my golden retriever after Yaz. His official name is Captain Carls 67 triple crown. I also had the honor of meeting Yaz at an autograph signing in Saratoga Springs. I remember a little boy sitting on his lap as his mother frantically put film in her camera to record the event. A real gentleman and giant of the game.

You can tell Ricky’s still on drugs. Look at his mouth and his sweating…. David is such a POS as well. He was supposed to be on shift. He took off that night he was supposed to be on shift. The entire Stanley family is a joke. Dee and her boys are all over defaming Elvis but they all depended on him for a meal ticket. Ginger is a bed warming gold digger too. That’s so sad that Vernon had a PI try to find out how Elvis got drugs.
