This quote is inspiring me - he said something to this effect: "I don't want to illustrate my ideas, I I want the viewer to experience them emotionally." When we use symbols - this is an illustration of an idea. When looking at JP canvas - 3 or 4 patterns become visible just below the surface - o feel these are primordial archetypes - at the psychoid level, right down near our DNA, that might be why so many people from different cultures and ziegiests are attracted to his later work. I've liked those my entire life - just recently learned he like Jung's ideas - He know he is using spontaneous improvisation emerging from his subconscious - You will notice there are no errors in work - he never corrects anything...this is symptom of "getting out of the way" and letting muse and daimon express themselves though our trained bodies.... Why these people commit sucide might be because they don't use their Daimon as an intermediary between their consciousness and their subconscious - the demonium of Pan cannot be under estimated...

i've seen blue on the ruined temples of the 5C bc Greek temples, and it was well represented in the older Egyptian culture and Mesopotamian ones Think of the presemce of Lapis Lazuli, traded across the near east for more than 6,000 years ! they had lapis in pre dynastic Egyptian times, as we have the artifacts in the Petri Museum, way before egyptian blue was first formulated to make cheap copies This is nonsense and erroneous Puttting forth that lapis was discovered by Alexander is a major short fall in your research and credibility Really you need to up your game There are research papers from Oxford Uni that document the much earlier trade in Lapis that are freely available Blue was a well known wonder of the first civilisations of the fertile crescent The colour blue has been highly prized and widely sought for at least as long as Lapis has been mined Otherwise why the high valuer of blue gold and it's presence in the most prestigic artefact assemblages from the earliest bronze age cultures ? Trying to extrapolate back a small piece of research to envelope the entire known history when it is hugely wanting, by an amormous amount of evidence to the contrary is very silly and doesn't help education

Why do you jumpcut every ten seconds? You know real orators not only could memorize speeches and use elaborate diction but they also came off as believable by not picking and choosing what the audience heard and remaining authentic instead of cobbling videos together to justify their own absurd disjointed beliefs. The Sasha Beren Cohen thing is totally different and you start to understand things much more when you realize his ethnic background. He tries to come across as satirical but you can see that people don't even take the bait because they can tell he's trying to elicit a response. That is unless he is dancing with some stupid poor kazahki people and paying them to do asinine andstuff on camera. So you're wrong even there. It's actually antithetical to what you said about establishment in the first place. He's just acting like an asshole and seeing what he can get away with. There's nothing clever or satirizing about what he does. It's funny if you are 15 and absolutely cringy if you actually understand he's part of the nexus that promotes the stupidity they are mocking in the first place. I'd wager you are one of the dunces who never bothered to examine that fact or your own life for that matter. Why dont you compare his cheap jilted and discardable shenanigans to you're own to your own half baked analysis. A real king definitively is an ambassador of God and wouldn't be subject to the trite quibbles of a pontificating gremlin who juggles baubles and wears clothing smattered with the foibles of his own hubris.
@yolandasimone3848
@yolandasimone3848 Ай бұрын
I agree with what you said except for the king part. There is a real history of the jester, which were actually called juggalos, and they were the only ones who were allowed to tell the truth to the king but they had to do it in the form of jokes and humor. But they weren't simply jesters, they were also psychopathic assassins, strangely enough. I was surprised to learn the history of these jesters and realized that the group Insane Clown Posse was actually reality based in their use of this historical fact in using it as their image and how their followers are called juggalos. Knowing the history gives a clear understanding of the use of the Joker character in Batman. And the use of the image of the clown denotes something far more sinister than most people are aware of.

@@paulryan2128 Cohen, a rich foreigner, went to a poor country, Kazakhstan, and went among their poorest, and mocked them to their faces with a caricature of themselves for the entertainment of rich Westerners. They were so poor and unrecognized that even being mocked seemed better than not being seen at all, so they like him. Meanwhile, while Westerners laugh at this poor country, they get to have the cheapest feeling of superiority in the world. It's gross to mock the poor for their ignorance and desperate grasping for any recognition. If an ignorant, poor person in the US loves Trump because he recognizes them, that's not funny, that's sad.

I'm 21 and I am going through the same thing you are. Your connections are important, any way you can be a part of a community that gives you fulfilment is a huge piece. For me it is yoga & meditation. Life is a journey of self exploration but we also can't do it alone. Making friends from different ages and with different perspective and appreciation. Your journey is entirely your own. Don't worry so much about what others are doing or what your life is supposed to look like. Sending you love and light ❤️ hoping that you find peace.

Just watched this, and I'm confused as to why this guy thinks he has some kind of authority to speak of 'what makes a great portrait', it's not as though he's an artist, I mean which art gallery represents him? Where does he sell his work? It's not as though he's an art critic either. Talk about ego, it's all 'I think...' Fake people thinking they have an authority to speak of subject matters they have no real place to talk about.

I too love the art of Jackson Pollock, and your brief post quite captures his expressive power! I realize that a lot of people don’t “get it,” they thinking that he was essentially a daft and cynical salesman of “artistic snake oil,” but their loss is gain for those who can appreciate his next level magic! Indeed, in my opinion, it was actually Pablo Picasso selling the “snake oil,” with apologies to “Guernica,” but even here, I think it was the emotional content of the historical EVENT, more than the artist’s throw away, and rather quite cartoonish, artistic characterizations, that amplified the overall enthusiasm (though it did, perhaps, give us the wonderful, TRUE “cartoon” art of Richard Guindon, so there’s THAT!)… A small quibble: I have always heard the artist’s name pronounced like “pa-luck,” not like the derisive American name for immigrant Poles (i.e., “Pollock jokes”), and, indeed, the double “l,” in BOTH cases, should render the “O” to shift from “O” to an “Ah” sound (and SIRI agrees with me!)… Other than that, Mr. Williamson, do keep up the very excellent and quite genuinely evocative work! Best regards, Glenn PS: I once owned an old multi-colored paint spattered hammer that I called “Jackson Wallop”… I really miss that hammer!
