they can love 10-20 years though , but the tank size wont change his growth rate, the water changes and food supply will

My ornate bichir is pretty chill stays in the one corner and occasionally swims around the tank to eat

Today i just put 3 tiger barbs in with 1 bumblebee African cichlid the cichlid is about 1/2 " longer than the barbs. So far they are respecting each other. I looked up bumblebee tankmates and this video came up.looks like I picked the right one.thanks for the video.

I have a single whiteskirt tetra with a jewel cichlid I will be breeding him with a female salvini cichlid 😊. The whiteskirt tries to bully my jewel but wait till he breeds that's when he will get aggressive. He went after the whiteskirt early this morning

I may try this today. I have a 37 gallon with 2 smaller mbunas, and a blue gourami. It's odd that the gourami was dominant, at first, but now, both of my little mbunas chase after him, from time to time. He's bigger than both of them; I just think that he hasn't reached his limit of tolerance, yet? 🤷♂ But, I'm pretty sure that introducing maybe 4 or 5 tiger barbs might very well make the difference ... and calm the atmosphere in my tank.

Really enjoyed the tiger barb & A cich video. My tank of 9 TB an 7 cich red claw coolie loach is sick. Acrylic 45 hex black sand serpentine obsidian base with paper thin flat rock has countless caves and tunnel system with 7-8 layers of flat rock stacks creates hide outs and the fish can retreat and rest. The fish are happy.. Active and entertaining ..

Had 9 tiger barbs in with 2 small African cichlids for a year, but recently I believe the cichlids killed 2 of the green tiger barbs. Do I need more cichlids or more barbs? Do green barbs not work the same like regular tiger?
@kellysuzanne9763 жыл бұрын
They can live much longer than 2/3 years . Most will live to at least 5 and I've seen some that were 8 years old . I guess it all depends on how well they are cared for.

I have 3 white skirt tetras and 4 black skirt tetras. I do prefer the black but the white ones are definitely beautiful. Especially the long finned . Mine are all long finned , I think the long fins make them look so peaceful and angelic.

I know this comment is old. Did you do that? I have done that and it can be done. My dad has lots of tiger barbs + 2 angelfish + lots of tigers in a 39 bow. Me, I have a 20 regular that has 2 angels + 4 tigers + 2 black skirt tetra + 4 white skirt tetra + a red fin shark + 1 stripe catfish + 4 red fin tetras. We both use a canister filter rated at 50 gallons. I clean my tank monthly. My dad cleans his every 3 weeks.

@@idkwhattoputherebuthi153 I dont know of any that are toxic, but just do some research into the type of alder cones people are using then go out and target them. I personally use the cones from the common european alder tree which is native here in the UK.

I put tiger barbs in there with my African cichlids those tiger barbs are crazy they can hold their own they actually established a territory in my tank and if the African cichlid go over there they gang up on them and run them out you can put pictus catfish in there too they can hold their own
