My dad had a '90. That car was lighter than a fart. It could barely stay in the lane on windy days.
@initialmoe3 ай бұрын
@chaimileage haha yes they are extremely light. Thankfully, I haven't had that experience yet. She's pretty planted for the most part. How long did your dad own his Tercel?
@chaimileage3 ай бұрын
@@initialmoe not even 4 years. When my sister came along he traded it for a Corolla because at the time they were decently safe for a small car. That Corolla was in our family 17 years.
@initialmoe3 ай бұрын
@chaimileage That's still a decent amount of ownership time. You still remembering the car, shows the positive impact it had on you. Very cool that your dad kept the Corolla in the family for 17 years! Can you tell me the year of the Corolla?

Hey man I’m looking into getting a Camaro with the exact same mods. Did you have any issues with the pro charger or A8 trans?
@initialmoe7 ай бұрын
It's been absolutely perfect, man. With that being said. The tuner is the most important thing. Since the LT1 has direct injection, it needs a tuner who specializes in that. A guy who only tunes LS1s will mess this engine up badly. Get the afrs right and tune down, and she'll last you.
@BensMK7.5GTI7 ай бұрын
@@initialmoe thanks for the info. I don’t know a lot about these cars but the previous owner has the P1SC1 supercharger kit on his with other minor supporting mods. His is custom tuned by using HP tuners software with a Ted Jannetty from Jennetty racing in CT. I’m not sure if that tuner specifically tunes the LT1s but maybe you would know. I’m seriously considered purchasing his car but not sure if it will be reliable for me with that tuner and pro charger. Thanks
@initialmoe7 ай бұрын
@BensMK7.5GTI The most important thing assuming tune has been done correctly is maintaining and treatment. Was the engine oil change always done ahead of time? When you see the car, don't say anything. Pull the dip stick and see the color. If it's dirty, you can assume he didn't do the oil change on time. Next was the car taken care of or abused? Check the rear tires and wheel wells. Does it look like he's been doing burnouts on it? When was the last time he got the transmission and differential oil change?
@initialmoe7 ай бұрын
@BensMK7.5GTI if all these things check out. Then buy the car, and always treat her nice. It's obviously okay to do a full pulls now and then, but don't abuse them, and they'll be fine.
@BensMK7.5GTI7 ай бұрын
@@initialmoe thank you for all of this is really helped. The owner is actually a 40 year old mechanic who babies the car. He’s done maintenance before it’s supposed to be due and always took care of the car. Even though he is a mechanic and everything I just wasn’t sure if the current setup he had would give me any issues.
