I have the same radio bought on ebay. It's not bad, it's small in size, it has an excellent display that shows pictures, but it's very bad for FM reception

Maybe the german station underneath is the following: 91.4 SWR4 Rheinland-Pfalz (Radio Mainz) Mainz-Kastel [hes] (rlp) 87m 1655km 344° 1kW (would match the propagation angle of NPO) I can hear fragments of traffic news mentioning the german city of Speyer which is located in the land of rlp (Rheinland-Pfalz). By the way: Did you flash the latest firmware yourself or was it already on the device as you bought it? Works very good obviously, James - A niche evening from hot Vienna! 73!

Good Morning my dear friend, thank you for the nice feedback and insights that SWR4 is underneath NPO Klassiek :) I have flashed the TEF6686 in the beginning of June but need to flash it again to the latest firmware as it seems there is more improvements in RDS encoding which is thought to be useful ;) I will be visiting Vienna in October for 4 days, which will try my best to catch every local station on the TEF6686 and perhaps even tropo :) I shall keep you updated. Nice MW DX. The MW antenna in this set is one of the larger ones for the D 808. I like the MW section in this radio, also excellent selection of bandwidths for the MW band.
