Great idea and demonstration. I noticed you have a T shirt with the outline of the great state of Louisiana. I belong to the Acadiana Woodturners Club located in Lafayette Louisiana. We meet the first Saturday of the each month and you’re welcome to join us.

Killer bowl and design! Never seen this technique until now. I’m wondering if mica power mixed with thin CA in bottle would work?

I can see you are a very competent turner but remember that some new or younger turners might be watching and might be copying you moving the tool rest while still moving and could be very dangerous, please don't think I am being critical because I'm not it's just keep the newcomers safe and not make errors. Great work by the way.

You haven't really seen a hummingbird, until one lands on a flowering trumpet bush, less than 2 feet from you. And for a real close encounter. Have one go buzzing over the top of your head so close, you can feel the draft of air. Then have stop four feet from you, turn around hovering, the shoots straight up with it's wings moving so fast, it the very air trilled with the motion of it.

This piece is very nice. Probably better than that. I love humming birds and I like what you have done here. I do not like the music. Between the music and the speeded up video I was exhausted by the end. Everything looks so frantic. Turning is supposed to be calming. Your video wasn't. So I love the product. I really dislike the production. Ditch the speeded up video. I don't need to see every cut. Demonstrate the basic cuts and move on to the next part. I also would like to see some detail connecting the head and body. It is not apparent. The connection between the beak and flower is apparent. Still, thank you for sharing. Have a great day and stay safe.🙂🙂

Thank you for watching and for your honest reply. I was having technical issues with my camera and sound equipment. I normally have an intro portion where I show the raw wood and explain what I will be doing. I don't normally have music, but with the sound issues, thought something would be better than dead silence. I also had footage of the complete assembly, but that was lost as well. I was not pleased with what I had left, but felt I needed to post something. Thanks again and have a great day!
