There's not many videos on the grinding of the tires , thank you , I've seen this bout 6 times gone back & rewatched, if you get this can you show a picture of how you mounted a grinder to your dovetail ( head stock ) ( tooling ), there anit much room on my '60s foreign lathe, TIGHT ,, thanks ...

It’s done with a Dremel Tool flex shaft mounted 250-102 quick change tool holder. I use a 40 grit sanding drum.

It’s just for rough grinding. After that I’ll use my Hudy Tire Truer to finish grind them to size.

@@jvtrevisanthe lathe is used to rough grind the tires after mounting fresh rubber on the rims. These tires are then stored in a freezer until needed, usually at the track. The Hudy truer is much more portable and accurate.

The best thing to do is send him your truer and have him install it and the Screw Job. (Triggerman Elite) Best $100 you'll spend because he aligns everything and just does a much better job than a non-machinist can.

I'm disappointed in myself for waiting as long as I did to get a knob job. Great videos. I ended up threading the micrometer screw slightly more because I have a slightly larger rgeo drum and I sometimes go as big as 910. Love it.
