I just don’t miss the launch on Lrod at all. Lol 😂 It was jerky, and I never liked how it would always stall at the top. It never made sense to have a launch when it barely crept over the top

That's fair.. After the top of the lift hill the rest of the ride is just the same.. and yeah.. its still going the exact same speed it did before at the top with or without the launch.. but.. for me.. I just liked that little push at the beginning. Originally.. I think it was even more of a launch when the coaster was originally opened and they changed that one off season. But I didn't get to ride it the first time til .. 2 almost 3 years ago now

Its a new Theme Park trip season here on Phenixx Adventures... Down to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge for Dollywood. Spent 2 Days enjoying the Rides, the Food, and the atmosphere. First time going to a park alone though. Sad Panda... Made a few editing mistakes putting this together but I think it's fine. Not worth pulling down, fixing and reuploading. Next Up.. Kings Island! If anyone wants to meet up there.. Let me know!

Right and I tried not to be too harsh on it. For the price we paid at the time.. it wasn't terrible. It was about what was to be expected at that price. But I;ve seen lately the price on these rooms have gone up quite a bit. I recently stayed at the Days Inn down the road and I felt like it was a much better room for cheaper, though. You don't get the nice view of the little creek and such you do here.

I love the present SDC, but I was a kid in the 70s when I experienced 'Fire in the Hole' for the first time as a total surprise. At that time, SDC was not a 'ride park' as it is today. It focused on the theme..so when my dad and I boarded 'Fire in the Hole' in '72, we expected a calm ride...there were no roller coasters at SDC. My dad took me to SDC from KCMO each summer to look at the craftsmen practicing their arts. In the 70s, rides were secondary, the atmosphere and the craftsmen were primary. I still like SDC, but it is a 'ride park' now...not what it was.

Busch Gardens Williamsburg has long been on my bucket list of parks to visit. Now after all these years I finally got to go not just for one day, but two.. and during Howl-O-Scream. I definitely recommend it to anyone to try to go at least once. What are your favorite rides at Busch Gardens Williamsburg? Where would you like to see us go next?

Technically, Outlaw Run is the first RMC Topper Track coaster and they built the entire thing by themselves. RMC normally just retracks coasters with Topper Track or I-Box track, instead of building or rebuilding a coaster. Outlaw Run was also the steepest drop on a coaster made partially of wood at 87° and it was the first coaster made partially of wood (since it is technically a hybrid) to go upside down. Riverblast is a much better water ride than American Plunge and Riverblast rarely ever has anyone riding it. But of course, Mystic River Falls is the best water ride. You didn't ride the Grand Exposition Coaster. It considered coasters too. Plus, flat rides, Marvel Cave, Grandfathers Mansion, train, and Giant Barn Swing. There is a HUGE difference between a Premier Rides Water Coaster and a Log Ride!!! Daredevil Falls is CLEARLY a Premier Rides Water Coaster, NOT a "log ride"!!! PowderKeg used to be the same as well. The lift hill and the track leading up to it, which you can tell is different than the rest, is the same track that BuzzSaw Falls used, which was the old Premier Rides Water Coaster. Currently, you can see an old BuzzSaw Falls car on top of the roof of the queue, if you look from the exit ramp. It's okay that Blazing Fury and Fire In The Hole are rough, only because they are both slow. That way, you rarely even notice it. Top speed on Fire In The Hole is 25 mph. The rough parts add to the charm and wouldn't be the same without it. It is also the most reliable coaster in the park. It doesn't even close for weather, unless it gets below freezing. The only time it actually closed was 3 years ago when a belt snapped and it was down for about a week. Marvel Cave tells you every detail of the history, which is the same story that Fire In The Hole tells you, but much shorter.

It's called Mystic RIVER Falls, as it says on the sign! You might have heard on the news about one of the many big, bad things that happened at SDC right before you came. One of those was an accidental grease fire that sent the entire block up in smoke, which is where that construction site is. It started in the Pork Rind stand, it continued to burn Heartland Home Furnishings (both the store and the furniture making demonstration area), and Flossie's Fried Fancies (restaurant). It also got a bit of the Duplicating Lathe, which is across the road, but Firefighters were able to put it out before anything happened to that. So, the construction is for a new Heartland Home Furnishings, a new restaurant, updating the road to Wildfire, and updating the waterfall dining area behind The Lumberjack Camp. It doesn't sound like the Pork Rind stand will return (which I hated anyway, but some people liked). Also, I feel like this is the pre-construction stage for the American Plunge area, but mainly the roads leading up to that area. It's been bad ever since the downgrade of 2008 and somehow seems to be getting worse. It's one of two rides that me and others feel like they are going to let it live the last few years of it's life with very little maintenance so that when it does go, people will be begging for an upgrade. Technically, Outlaw Run is the first RMC Topper Track coaster, plus they built the entire thing by themselves. RMC normally just retracks old coasters with Topper Track or I-Box track, instead of building or rebuilding the entire coaster.

We just got back from Busch Gardens Williamsburg this past week. So expect a few more of these walkthroughs plus our full park visit video and a few other surprises. I am still getting used to to my S23 Ultra. It does great at night when steady. but any motion causes blurring. I should have used my gimbal. Oh well.. Still learning. Hope you guys enjoy.

So glad you enjoyed Mystic! This ride is my baby! Long lines on hot days!! But totally worth it! Pro tip... YOu have a decent enough following to record legally, the right way. Just contact marketing departments before wyou start pulling out recording devices. A decent following can set you up with a SAFE recording scenario in the future.
@phenixxadventures
@phenixxadventures 10 ай бұрын
We never record on any ride unless the park is ok with it. Most of the parks we have visited so far don't allow it. Recording in and around the park though is fine. I know teh dangers of just pulling out a phone or something while on a ride so I wouldn't do that.

coming back to this now that I have ridden verbolten. I can tell you I would much rather ride big bear. verbolten slung us around too much and too many quick jerking stops. it was the first ride we did at busch gardens and I regretted it. my neck hurt the rest of the weekend. Big Bear was a lot smoother of a ride.

We had waited a long time to ride big bear. The park was totally pact that day and I didn't think that I was going to be able to ride it or at least stand in line all day and skip all the rest of the ride. I most likely would have if it hadn't rained. So I actually got to get on pretty fast and it didn't disappoint. It was an exciting ride. It's long track and just the speed was worth waiting for.

I had a decent time there but I wasn't thrilled with the venue. The panel stage was in the same big room as all the other events, and with the barrage of overhead announcements about this and that the sounds all bled together and competed against each other. And I think they could have done the food vendor lines better. HorrorHound in Sharonville a month earlier had a better venue with compartmentalized panel rooms, dining areas, etc. It was nice to have places to go where you could get a respite from the noise.

I will totally agree with you on this. This was the first convention I have ever been too. We had a great time nonetheless. But yeah..
