Where is the temperature sensor for the unit? Is it in the wall mount controller? If it is then the wall mount shouldn’t be placed in a cabinet. Near the floor.

Would this be a good alternative for a van ventilation source as opposed to a roof van since it pulls outside air in and pushes air out? Are you able to do an update on how it's running? Thanks

I was wanting to run my 40FT 5Th Wheel and run both Ac units. Would this be able to run both of my Ac units?
@dustydawson897710 күн бұрын
If you can plug into shore power, this will run everything you have in your 5th wheel, I have there 120v 3000w system plugged into my house from the 30 amp plug into my dryer connection, it will run my whole house that needs 120v, I wish I had the 240v system, but the 120v runs everything in my house that requires 120v, and my house is total electric, now personally I don't run everything in my house at the same time, but this 120v unit will run 2 tv, fridge, freezer, and microwave at the same time, but I can guarantee these will do everything there rated for +, these are low frequency units not those cheap, high frequency ( eco flow ) type generators. These are monstrous units, that will keep working day in and out under heavy load, and there voltage output will not decrease under load

Thank you. I’ve been looking for a portable pull up bar that can hold some heavy weight. The one I found could only hold 220, so this one is definitely better with its 330 amount. Thank you so much

Expensive, but probably the best option for my situation. I can't fit a ceiling AC in my 6.5x10 off-Grid Ice fishing house/ Camper. I don't have the floor space for a dual hose portable AC, but I have a 2.5ft x 3ft un used area under a bunk that this would fit into perfectly. Thanks for sharing so much detail!
@roadwidgetsАй бұрын
This under bench unit does sound like the right fit for you due to lack of space on the roof. I definitely recommend this one. Thanks for watching!
@BillTheTractorManАй бұрын
@roadwidgets the only big downside is my current 12volt lithium system that powers everything else fine, would be way overwhelmed by this AC. I was hoping to run AC off generator @120volts. I would have to add another lithium battery alone and it's own charging system for just the AC. So, the total cost is a hindering factor from adding any AC.

Thanks for the video, I'm trying to solve my A/C issues in a Sprinter van that is already built out. Not sure I understand why you mounted the control unit inside a cabinet. Is there some external temp sensor to tell the unit when the desired temperature has been reached?
@jdrinkmanАй бұрын
The temp sensor is behind the big square air intake grill on the unit itself.

12v air conditioning compressors are pretty cheap now days due to electric cars. My stock ac works great and I was thinking about doing a compressor swap so I can run it with the engine off of battery. This is very tempering though

No big DC power output? Again, why. None of the portable power stations have big DC output for things like DC air conditioners…. Why do we care so much about A/C house plugs. Ugh.
@1010chrisАй бұрын
I think the way the aging power grid is letting texas down. Most homes will eventually have backup power banks. Manufacturers see that there are more home plugs than there are DC a/c needs.
@dustydawson897710 күн бұрын
This is there 240v unit, they have another 120v 3000w that has 5 20 amp dc outputs. Learn, then whine, this is more for home backup. That being said you can plug this into your 50 amp rv plug and run everything as you would on shore power, so what's your complaint!
@flexjay87Ай бұрын
Insulation on the cooling duct would be a good idea, especially if you are in a desert environment, or anywhere , where the heat index is above 95 degrees.
@stevey500Ай бұрын
As far as efficiency goes, I think the most important hose to insulate would be the heat exhaust hose that runs outside.

The round plug L14, other plug L50 both rated at 4000w 16.66A, even though they lable the 50amp plug you don't get 50amp, 50 amps is 12000 watts. it is nice simple somewhat mobile and can easily plug in any RV shore cord, maybe run a dryer on med heat maybe. If you need more than 10kw a day, I would spend 10000 usd and get 8kw inverter and 30kw battery bank maybe add 12kw pv for another 5k.
@jyo8914Ай бұрын
I've been having issues with it's bigger brother, the T1000. Using a 100W solar panel and the AC output, the unit would periodically shut off. Once this happens, the AC output won't turn back on. See my link: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pn-ceY2bhLSenMk

What exactly are you running that would require a continuous 3000 watt draw?
@saulgoodman72212 ай бұрын
@@Wolvy123 Idk An A/C or two heaters or the freezer a window unit and a fan. ????
@Wolvy123Ай бұрын
@saulgoodman7221 I ask because generally, you do not run loads that high continually. During an outage, running essentials like fridges, freezers, for example, you can stay well under 1000 watts with room to spare which can be expanded even more if you have timers to run your fridge/freezer that can be run 15 minutes out of every hour and still stay cold as long as you are not constantly opening them. There are ways to extend your available watt hours. That will greatly depend on how big of a system you have built. Heaters are not something you want to run for long periods of time because of the power draw. It's usually best to find alternative methods for heat.
