Her, alloura, and the other ballroom kids apart of all stars created so many moves still being done today. They were at the forefront of the dramatic movement. What are emotes and antics?
@thaddeusbaltazar50743 ай бұрын
Emotes is when you create strong emotions through your body and your face to give it some dramatic effect. Mostly you can see it as shaking of the body, arms, head or hands such as in 25:21 by Sinia. Antics are the special signature moves of the performers to show personality or to express shade to their opponent (mostly in fast speeds). Examples of these are whipping your hair and shoving your behind to your opponent (as seen in 19:45). Celeste Infiniti showed her personality when she kicked her feet in (20:13).

I haven't considered it yet because I really am focused on old school vogue. I just want to put more focus on OLD SCHOOL PERFORMANCE because creative and original vogue is getting rare, and I want to at least put an idea to the new femme queens to consider voguing Old Way as well. Though if for some reason more people request on FQ Face, I might because FQ face is stunning, and of course I'd dig for the old school FQ face as well.

@@thaddeusbaltazar5074 - Indeed. I think the girls would benefit from seeing those clips. It might bring back some form to voguing. It has become entirely too sloppy. People are no longer dipping, they are simply throwing themselves on the floor. It's a hot mess. Sinia in her hey day and Kristina are excellent to study. They were known for hitting 5 to 6 CLEAR and DISTINCT positions before the even hit the floor. So, yes, I say study the old tapes and add something new to it. So needed.

@@dmp7252 Even the Old Way right now is not the same as what I see from the 80s or 90s clips. The judges and the new generation seem to follow a super standardized or strict formula instead of being open to new ideas whilst still being grounded in voguing.

This is so amazing to see. I think the true golden period was when vogue clashed with the likes of Ms. Kristina Tsunami. She seemed to have the pop-lock-and-dip of the old school, yet the agility of the new school girls, AND the drama. What's even more amazing is you can REALLY see the lineage being passed down on people like Ms. Alyssa St. Claire … and then being passed down to people, TODAY. You can also see that lineage in the likes of Adam AlphaOmega in 2024. Adam has clearly done his research. But, there was just something in the water during that Kristina Tsunami-Sinia-Meeka-Alyssa era that shook the earth's tectonic plates. It captures everything. But these videos area TREASURES. To see how ballroom has endured and thrived is wonderful.

1993 would be more likely, because in 1992, it seemed like there was a bit of hints of FQ Vogue.
