That's a ghost note, so you start on the 4 and shift over to the 6 real quick. I would have notated a slide in there if I'd tabbed this song more recently.

i’m curious about your process in making these - do you have any software to reduce the volume of the other tracks in a song, making it easier to study the bass part? or do you just have a beast of an ear and do them as-is with the normal studio mix? thanks, big fan of your work (and this song).

I'm usually good with just the studio mix and over-ear headphones, but sometimes when a bass part is more buried I'll run the song through lalal.ai to have a better idea of what's being played.
